Canelo Alvarez VS Chavez Jr in March

ROFL Best opponent Chavez and Canelo have ever faced XD . Want Chavez to finally lose though

 

is this REALLY going to happen? I thought JCC jr went up a weightclass so he could AVOID Canelo lawlz....

 

Chavez Jr will probably win, looking at Canelo's last performance.

 

Swum sees Chavez Jr is not gonna be a big name... so he is getting fed to the lions.

 

I am a bit surprised this is happening already. I know it is a big fight to be made for the Mexican fans, but I thought it would get a little more buildup. This should be a good one.

 

This one should be great. However can Jr. even get down in weight enough. Even with a nutritionist and Roach in his last fight he came in right at 160 and on fight night he was 180.

Kid is huge for MW. I see Canelo putting a bad bad beating on him. The later rounds will be interesting though.

 

Arum avoiding another lopez/gamboa...this should be interesting.

 

Makes no sense for Chavez to take this fight, I doubt he can make 158

 

Rafael tweeted a little while ago that they are nowhere near a deal, but at least it's been discussed.

I'd put it at about 1% chance at best of going down in the spring.

Not sure if this happens or not with Chavez's weight and the Top Rank/Golden Boy issues. It would make a lot of sense and money to put them together and the sooner the better since both look like they could lose one of their next fights.

I like this fight from an action stand point. Neither are future pfp greats both they make for what would be a good fight. Alvarez would be the favorite but Chavez would be a live underdog here.

 

Everyone in mexico thinks Canelo is the big deal. They don't really like Julio Cesar Chavez JR though.
