Canelo Alvarez vs Erislandy Lara

i think the problem is that canelo hasnt been tested. hes fought nothing but smaller fighters or past their prime.

id favor him against a few contenders like Martirosyan, Bundrage and maybe Cotto.

Kirkland, Angulo,Molina and Lara will be tough fights. and if Martinez was to move down to 154 will probably beat him easily

 

Not worth talking about to be honest.
Let's hope Vanes (Can't spell his last) Vs. Lara is a good fight.
Because if it's a dud, the winner will remain in limbo.
(They both need a breakout fight)

 

He'd destroy Angulo and Kirkland. Neither has any defense, and Kirkland has a terrible chin as well.

Molina would make for an ugly to watch fight because his "style" is even more unpleasant to the eye than John Ruiz used to be. Canelo still would win it though.

Lara is probably a tough fight for him though, but it's not a blowout either way. It'd be a close, difficult, competitive fight for both guys.

I think Lara has a low enough work rate for De La Hoya to make the fight happen. Lara's work rate is low enough to get robbed on the cards.

 

I'd take Alvarez. Wouldn't be surprised if he stopped Lara either.

 

I think its gonna be a competitive fight but Lara hates inside fighting and canelo will push him to his limits I mean a blown up ww Hernandez gave Lara problems and the body work from Molina and Hernandez visuallybddisturbed Lara.. so I'm sure canelo would tear that body up and push Lara into the ropes and punish him, Lara likes to take breaks as well and he can't do that with canelo as he will take the openings, laras best chance is to outbox canelo in the middle of the ring wigh high work rate and great stamina things that he has struggled with before

it should be a great competitive fight early but canelos pressure body work and physical power will be to much in the championship let's not over rate Lara and downgrade canelo because Lara has had his share of bad moments like Molina coming off a year lay off and beating Lara by a round IMO, and hitting Paul Williams and Hernandez with everything he's got and not being able to take them out so the power he has because of tkoing hearns is over rated at the highest levels his stamina work rate and power has left much to be desired.

Canelo will find himself lost in the ring.But he'll make it interesting because his offense and strength . But I agree if Lara doesn't beat him worse than PW will be robbed.

 

Dont get it twisted and think anyone is afraid of these low reward guys.. its all business and am sure once Lara does something meaningful like destroy vanes impressively to have a huge demand it ain't gonna happen if he doesn't offer nothing more then the hardcore fans respect... This fight should be at its sweetest late 2013-2014 as lara has peaked and canelo hasnt.

 

Interested in fight breakdowns those choosing Lara would be fun to bump this one day.

 

I don't know how good Canelo is yet. Technically he is very solid but has proven nothing at the weight. As of now I would take Lara, to beat him on points.

 

canelo in a close fight
