Canelo Alvarez vs Erislandy Lara

It depends. If Canelo is still learning and sparring from the likes of GGG then his game should without a doubt improve. I think like Cotto Canelo is underrated as a boxer and overrated as a puncher. I still don't know if he can adapt to different fights against different styles or if he gets brain farts like the talented Jermaine Taylor did. And Lara I expected more from him he looks invincible vs B, C class fighters, but lost to Molina and couldn't ko a Williams that was not the same feared fighter Maravilla beat. Lara the craftier, more long in tooth, but I think he might be underestimating the younger Alvarez.

 

Gonna go with DOC on this one Lara hasn't got the power to keep Canelo off him ,he may have the boxing savvy to keep him at an arms lenth and miss a bit but Canelo catches up to him mid rds and stops his hypetrain.

People can say Canelo hasn't been tested but I think you put him in front of anyone and he'll figure it out.

He is protected but he wasn't always and when he wasn't he was knocking people out like a young Tyson did.

I would love this fight to happen so it would shut all the Cubanitas the **** up !

 

If you think the midget beater Canelo has a chance against Lara, then you are either Gingertard or doesn't know $h1t about boxing, as now I could mention a least 4 guys that will beat the fort Knox of Mexico, Lara, Vanes, Trout and Cotto will take Canelo to school and then some, you can look great against a guy you out weight by two division and on top of that they ain't any good, you ppl think Lara doesn't punch just because he didn't ko Hernandez you will be surprised if the fight is ever made, there's a reason why the WBC-GBp are avoiding fighters like Lara, they know Canelo will never beat one of those guys and they are looking for a Cotto-Packio-Fraud kind of fight, they want to cash out, the ginger hasn't prove $h1t and he will never fight a real threat from his own div. The guy is a fraud and is been protected by his promoter and the crooked org he represent.
