Super surprised that this fight was made since erislandy(and Guillermo) are the closest skill wise to mayweather and this proves to be a stylistic nightmare for Saul.but much props to canelo for wanting to genuinely want to have his legacy cemented by not ducking anybody, but maybe that's how it is anyway with boxing...maybe the best do wanna fight the best but their promotors or managers aren't confident enough to give the go ahead anyway I'm ranting now I got erislandy by SD but expect canelo to do a whole hell of a lot better than he did against Floyd...who u got and why for this real boxing matchup
Great matchup, setting up for a good summer I think Alvarez wins by way of competitive beatdown Lara to me is overrated skill wise and Alvarez has too much offense and as good a defense Lara's only advantage is footwork and stamina.
See but those are things canelo can't deal with is good footwork and someone who has good stamina as evident in the Floyd fight and I keep mentioning that cuz I put that fight on a pedestal..:Floyd exposed canelo in that fight as a limited boxer puncher who is flat footed and easy to hit but canelo showed even though it was a less than game Angulo, that he has a very smart boxing mind so for me it's 60/40 Lara
Lara is the closest skill wise to Mayweather? Hell no! Angulo would not have had the kind of success he did, if that was the case.
Lara is nothing like Mayweather offensively or defensively Mayweather spent the majority of the fight right in Alvarez face and slipped punches Lara doesn't get close enough to really do a good amount of damage to Alvarez. I would even say Alvarez has a better defense as well Lara gets swollen up in every fight I've never seen Alvarez take that much damage just because Mayweather beat Saul the way he did doesn't mean a Lara can, Alvarez is a better boxer and fighter than Lara
