    I’ve met John he’s a really nice bloke, definitely deserves this fight and a good payday. Not sure he wins though

    Canelo's team were the ones organizing the behind scene stuff - stadiums and such without the help of Hearn. That's why it took so long, plus they probably decided to delay the official announcement because of other fights like Tank/Garcia, Fury/Usyk and etc.

    If anyone deserves a gimme fight for a homecoming it's Canelo.

    Fight Ryder in Mexico and then he fights Bivol in September.

    Seriously man How many of Canelo's fights & "wins" did he achieve without the "help" he received from the Vegas judges & even the state commission looking the other way at times ? I don't begrudge Ryder getting a good pay day he deserves it because he certainly has no legitimate chance of winning whatever happens.
    That's if he fights Bivol again too remember he got a really schooling last time didn't he. Even his judge friends couldn't save him from that
