It’s ok for a tune up Ryder is a handful for anybody else at 168
I do think Ryder got a gift against Jacobs though

Not interested in the fight but Ryder has a better resumes than anybody else Canelo can fight at 168 so whatever… this tells me these other guys need to fight somebody good more than Canelo cherry picking

No reason Beterbiev/Bivol can't happen then in the meantime... Winner fights the winner here.

I would be surprised if Canelo doesn't.

Ryder deserves his shot so no issues with the fight, but to be honest I think there are levels here.

Canelo "Cedes" May 6 to Wilder-Ruiz.

There aren't going to be a lot of West Coast fight fans traveling to Guadalajara that weekend.

So I guess Wilder vs Ruiz will not be happening May 6th.

PBC has already booked the MGM Grand for May 6 in Las Vegas.

I don't think most West Coasters will be making the 26-hour drive to Guadalajara.

Canelo is getting between $30 to $50m for this fight

No wonder DAZN is losing money

I don't mind this fight though I think there are better ones out there

Canelo at his best wins no problem but think he might finally be beginning his decline. I still think he wins but it could be a tougher out than expected

There's no way Canelo is still at his peak anymore. He's been a pro since 2005 and has had some insane training camps, weight cuts and PED cycles which can't be doing his internal organs much good.

"DAZN, which is backed by billionaire Len Blavatnik, has rapidly expanded into more than 200 countries. Last year it won rights to the bulk of Italy’s Serie A soccer by plunking down more than $1 billion per season for a three-year contract."
Canelo is a blimp in their budget. Boxing isn´t the reason for the recent increase in subscription prices, football is.
DAZN has been buying up lots of rights.

I don't like this fight but can't be mad about it, because there's no much out there for Canelo.

He's not going to fight a fading Andrade, who has no marketing appeal and has gone MIA. Charlo also has gone MIA. Canelo/Benavidez is the only fight that really gets me excited to see Canelo, and DB is otherwise occupied. So....?

Im under the impression that DAZN is bleeding money at an amazing rate.

This fight itself may be a blip in their budget, but its this type of mismanagement that will cause their likely sinking.

    Just like HBO's was.

    imo.

Its not the Benavidez fight but its not a bad fight either. Ryder earned the shot but I think Canelo stops him around rnd 7.
