Light middleweight is 154lb.

Huge difference between them.

A light middleweight weighing at 169lb + on fight night(which is light heavyweight) isn’t unusual.

I think on f8ght night Canelo has been known to weigh around 180ibs, whilst fighting at middleweight. So might be more at SMW. I would imagine Rocky comes in the ring around 180ib too.

 

Great fight for Rocky. Gets a big payday and a chance to test himself against one of the best at an unfamiliar weight for the opponent, however unlikely a win is for Rock.

For Canelo it's just more snakey matchmaking from Goldenboy. Creeping into the super middleweight division to grab a regular belt. That's not what great champions do. Between waiting for GGG to get old, fighting Khan, fighting Liam Smith instead of GGG and now this, I think his legacy is tarnished somewhat. I blame Golden boy and that snake ODLH.

I forgot to say there's no hope in hell Canelo will ever fight Callum Smith. ODLH will take one look at Callum's size and say no. ODLH wants the easiest fights available. He only took the GGG fights because GGG looked aged v Jacobs and the money was huge. Mayweather money was too big to turn down too.

 

Ive also heard he comes in over 180lbs on fight night. Truly astonishing if confirmed.
