This study shows howCanelo has become a very good counter/pressure fighter and that top fighters like GGG and Loma are also great counter/pressure fighters, what other counter/pressure fighters are champs now?

Honestly, i hear guys on this forum going on about 'oh this guys a counter puncher' or 'this guys a boxer puncher' or 'this guys this or this guys that'....

I don't get hung up on trying to fit guys into different labels. The truth of the matter is the good guys will adapt to whoever they have in front of them.

When I think of a counter puncher I think of someone who is actively evading punches and coming back with own punch.
Against Kovalev, canelo simply walked through all the punches with his gloves up and waited for Kovalev to tire himself out. Canelo was pressuring him and walking him backwards the entire time.
    Is that really counterpunching?

The post was better than I thought. I was afraid he was going to start talking about glute activation again.

Canelo was walking into punching range and countering, he threw very few leads.
