You failed to include both Joey Giardello and Rodrigo Valdez amongst your middleweights...both would defeat Canelo...the old master Giardello would thoroughly outclass the guy...and Valdez, of course, would have flattened him.

I'll give predictions on the rest later, but Canelo has no chance with the following: Leonard, Hearns, Hagler, Monzon, Hopkins, Robinson, McCallum, Jones, Toney, Nunn, Ward, Calzaghe.

Cross them all off. Canelo aint beating anyone on that list legitimately.

    The rest we can talk.

I see your point. Personally I think he has a chance against all of them. However, the chances I give him against some of them are slim to none - unless he is protected by golden boy promotions

The biggest mismatch on the list is quite obviously Jones.

Alright, ill be fair - Canelo has a remote punchers chance against Tommy... but its very remote.

There's a 90% chance Tommy lights his ass up.

If they go the distance you never know with a Canelo/Oscar scorecard.

Jones Jr. is probably the worst style match up for Canelo. Jones Jr is too quick to lose here.

Anyway after watching Canelo struggle vs a past it GGG, there is no way he is beating Hagler, who is a superior version of GGG, not to mention a southpaw too. Monzon is too tall and rangy to lose to Canelo. Canelo will struggle with Monzon's hard jab and ability to control the ring.

Robinson is too well rounded to lose to Canelo. Robinson has better one punch power than Canelo, is quicker, and just a much better boxer. Could Canelo beat the aging Robinson? Sure. But he ain't beating the early 1950's version.

The above are middleweights he has no chance against.

Toney is a superior counterpuncher to Canelo. I can't see what Canelo can do to win here. Hopkins is also too tall and rangy here for Canelo though Canelo may win some rounds here.

Canelo should be able to beat hard hitting but limited fighters in Jackson, Lemieux, McClellan, Benn etc. However, they all have a punchers chance.

Too many predictions to give here, i may come back to this later.

Good post. You could just edit my quote & put the outcome of the fight next to the names - which would be a lot quicker, but I appreciate your post nonetheless.

At 154, Nelo loses to Leonard, Hearns, McCallum, Benitez, Wright and is 50/50 with Duran from the Moore fight.

160, he loses to Jones, B-Hop, Robinson, Monzon, Hagler, Toney, Nunn, Kalambay and Watson.

    168, he loses to
Ward, Cazalghe, Froch, Taylor, Pascal, Jones, Toney Kessler and Benn.

I doubt Canelo beats Trinidad and Jackson.

I think both would lay his ass out.

Yeah true. Just found it interesting to see how he'd do against all these guys, and people's opinions. Feel free to give your prediction.
