who do you think would win, if Canelo and Tommy Hearns fought at middleweight?

I cant see Hearns stopping Canelo. Canelo late stoppage.

I think its similar to how I see Hearns vs Golovkin at MW: Hearns can't blast them out and his chin can't handle the incoming over the course of the fight. I think he gets ground down in the later rounds.

So are we talking a prime 26 year old Tommy Hearns? Hit man takes it

Canelo has his moments but Hearns wins a decision. Prime Golovkin is a tougher matchup stylistically than Canelo is.

A prime Hearns? My god Canelo had trouble with GGGs jab and now you bring in someone who has a FASTER jab and a longer reach.
Then back that up with a thunderous righthand that is thrown fast.
What is Canelo going to do?
He can't outbox Hearns. And if he tries to press he has to worry about the righthand coming into play.
And lets remember Hearns shook Hagler who had an insane chin.
So Hearns bust up Canelo with that jab. Canelo tries to press and gets cracked with the righthand a couple of times forcing him to back off.
Hearns TKO 9 in which Canelo retires in his corner.
My god Canelo has never faced a fighter like Hearns.
Really bad match up for him.

And for those of you who think Hearns can't blast out GGG or Canelo you are mistaken.
Ask Duran how that plays out.

Barkley couldn’t dent Duran enough to put him out and he was a fully fledged LHW, Crazy sh1t on both Heanrs and Durans part in regards to power and durability.

Hearns hit hard with the righthand because of his leverage and speed.
He was Actually developed into a puncher by Stewart who showed him how to punch.
Years ago their was a story about a Hearns sparring match. Hearns I think was still an ametuer but he was getting beat up.
So the guy he was sparring has Hearns on the ropes and is really laying it on him.
Supposedly Hearns threw a single righthand and knocked the guy out cold.
In Kronk if you had a bad chin you will not last- they will run you out of the gym.
Gym wars were a norm in Kronk. Their was no way around them.
Thats whycI laugh when people call Hearns chinny he wasn't. Did other boxers have better chins? Sure.
But Hearns had a pretty good chin. He was no Lamotta but he wasn't a Bumphus either.

The Hearns ko of Duran is really an anomaly , I recall watching an analysis of that fight years ago and the guy doing it's conclusion was ,,Duran never looked worse. Now I thought how can he say that after the Laing debacle but watching it closely Duran looked like a guy who's going to a sparring session. You're right ,the left hook Iran landed on Duran was wicked, had he hit Nigel Benn with that he'd have went to sleep .Hearn's KO power hadn't been seen that recently and I think Duran after going 15 with a beast like Hagler thought nothing of Hearns. Much is made of the last punch that ko'ed Duran but Hearn's battered him with right hands the whole fight right up till the end.

Hearns by UD, without a doubt. Tommy would just use his jab, height and reach advantage. THe right hand would keep Canelo at bay. Bad style match up for Canelo.
