Haven't ****yzed recent fight film yet, but, my instincts tell me Canelo takes this match. Not counting out Cotto though either: one of the best jabs in the business and is better defensively than he was as a younger fighter.

This is a common sense response. It is a 50-50 fight imo. Cotto is clever and I believe he sticks to boxing and moving, which Canelo hasn't had an answer to.

Cotto has fought a fighter just above club level in Rodriguez, a shot to ****ing **** fighter (learn something zealous Pacquiao fans- I love Pacquiao but he was as 'prime' as Mayweather in that fight) in Maravilla, a Geale who was somewhat weight drained but imo overmatched REGARDLESS... Alvarez is a live body and much younger than Cotto, this means a significant amount...) Cotto has never been hard to nail and overtly aggressive fighters have troubled him greatly when they have some intelligence behind them, Alvarez TKO 10 imo but I will applaud Miguel if he finds some way to keep Canelo occupied, I am a big fan of Cotto just not this hollow ''resurgence''.

Cotto would beat Trout in a rematch, let's not forget he gave Floyd one hell of a fight, in his top 5 toughest, something fighters of the caliber of Pacquiao, Alvarez and Marquez failed to achieve. I don't hold that result against him, but I do hold him not seeking the rematch against him, **** Geale at that weight, get Trout and smash him?

op is trippin... Cotto is at the end of the line in a stellar career, and picked the wrong guy to fight.. Cotto will have success early but will fold late when Canelo really starts pouring it on with those Lethal Combinations to the tired body of Miguel Cotto.:deal
