I will say Canelo clearly hasn't chased the fight, but then he's the champion and he's a champion at the end of his career who's probably simply driven by making money and lets be honest he did duck GGG until he thought GGG was old enough to take on. So is it possible Canelo is ducking, yes definitely because the track record is there.

But what I don't buy is that Benavidez is some huge threat or that PBC wants the fight. You ask why wasn't Benavidez on the 3 fight deal, well I'd day because both sides didn't want it. Canelo just wants as much money with as little risk as possible, while PBC would rather keep building this narrative that Benavidez is some monster that is being ducked by Canelo and hoping fans buy into the hype and Benavidez's profile grows and he starts drawing more, that way they don't have to risk Benavidez being exposed, it's the business model PBC has used before with Spence and Wilder and currently doing with Tank. They will continue to do the same with Benavidez and hope at some point an opportunity will arise like Fury/Wilder, Canelo/Charlo or Tank/Garcia where they can cash it against a then perceived easier opponent and then when Canelo is looking well past prime, finally make the fight.

Then why did they send Canelo 3 huge offers to fight Benavidez since 22? Your theory is contradicted by the evidence not to mention its just dumb. No fighter would allow their their promotional company to deny them the biggest fight in the sport that is laughable.

Canelo is avoiding Benavidez. I dont know if its an outright duck, but if the fight doesnt happen in 2024 its gotta be classified as a duck then.

Canelo is not Munguia or Berlanga. He's on backend of career and doing what nearly all fighters do on the backend.

Canelo - as far as I know - cannot pick a mandatory. Yildrim and Ryder were assigned mandatories...never know w Canelo tho cause corruption runs deep for him.

The PBC contract having Charlos and Spence is PBCs fault. In negotiations PBC didnt push for Benavidez fight...then tried to breach original deal and demand a different fight (Benavidez)...while simultaneously withholding pay?? WTF?
Why has Benavidez NOT been offered Jermell, Jermall, Spence, or Crawford? The supposed fights Canelo was offered. And Benavidez has been w PBC longer than Canelo...so why couldn't Benavidez get those fights too?

He would've cleared cleared 1 million buys easy, but who the f*ck cares?
David Benavidez was interim champ and his mandatory.

You know what... nevermind. Keep making excuses for this fight not happening.

If pbc believed a fight vs Benivedez does over 1 mil buys he would have been on the list.

Last time... Canelo rejected the initial one fight offer for Benavidez before PBC went and lost money on Charlo... and then they offered to guarantee the 35 million for another Charlo fight if he agreed to fight Benavidez on the back end. Seems that PBC was confident that a Benavidez fight would sell.

... But what of him being the interim champ since 2022 and the mandatory for the past year?

What other choice did they have? Charlo was a bust, Spence is nowhere so they had no other choice but to try and suggest Benevidez now.

You are responding selectively. I will use bullet points for you:

    - They offered Benavidez FIRST
    - They GUARANTEED themselves another financial loss if he agreed to fight Benavidez on the back end
-They were confident that they would recoup their losses if the fight came off

*Benavidez was interim champ AND Canelo's mandatory and shouldn't have needed anyone to force Canelo to fight him.

No they didn't. They offered Benivedez after the first Charlo fight was a bust.

I don't know. You should write a letter to Canelo and Bivol to find out and let me know.
