Is that much different than GGG/team claiming negotiations with Eubank were unreasonable then settling on a fighter 2 divs below? LOL

Just stop the hypocrisy and enjoy the fights. Canelo/GGG in 2017 looks to be a huge fight.

It didnt matter if it happened at WW or at JMW, Floyd vs Khan is who the people wanted to see fight. Floyd was holding both the WW and the JMW titles, so a fight at 154 between Floyd and Khan could have been made. Khan would have JUMPED at the chance to fight Floyd at 154 if thats where Floyd wanted it at.

Youre reasoning here that it was a cherry pick seems to be because Khan had to go 2 whole weight classes up? But in fact it was only 1 weight class + 1 lb. Khan only had to go up 8 lbs from 147 lb. Khan wouldnt have fought Canelo had it been 2 whole weight classes up, he said so himself ! Fans didnt care if Floyd fought Khan at 147 or at 154. They just wanted to see the fight.

What youre saying is like saying if GG decided to move up to Super Middleweight and fight Ward at 168 lbs, then Ward would be cherry picking GG? Or that since Ward moved up 7 lbs to Light Heavyweight, that makes Kovalev cherry picking Ward?

How does someone gaining 7 or 8 lbs change someone from the toughest fight out there to a cherry pick?

Styles make fights. Frazier knocked down Ali in the 15th round and won a decision, then Foreman Knocked Frazier down multiple times in the 1st round en route to a dominating KO, but then Ali knocked out Foreman in the 8th round. How do you explain Ali not being able to knock down Frazier? Styles make fights.

I agree that Khan was the biggest name out there willing to fight Canelo, but disagree that Khan was little or no risk. If Khan was so low risk then why did Floyd Mayweather the cherry picker of all cherry pickers avoid Khan to fight Berto? Why were fans so disappointed when Floyd chose Berto instead of Khan if Khan was so low risk? Obviously Khan was high risk to Floyd which is why they wanted to see the fight.

1) did you ever call for the khan V Floyd fight?

2) khan posed no risk to canelo and if you think he did I can only assume you're a canelo hater.

3) you defended the canelo khan fight because it represented the best financial reward for canelo, it surprises me you don't defend g V Brook for the same reason.

4) no matter how many essays you right. Both fights remain cherry picked mismatches.

Both Canelo and Eddy Reynoso are on record as saying that they would only fight GG at 155. They said that at the start of the year. But as time passed and they garnered a lot of hate, they changed their stance.

You're entitled to your opinion mate, but it seems crystal clear to me that Oscar and Canelo's team don't want anything to do with GG at this point.

I respect your opinion, but I don't buy any of it.

In my opinion, they used the deadlines as an excuse.

Again, they knew about the deadlines for months. They knew about them before and after Khan.

What happened after he dropped the belt to try and negotiate for a fight without the deadlines? They went and signed to fight Liam Smith.

It was only after the Smith fight had been tied up that they went back to GG and his team, to basically say that they'd have further talks next year for a proposed fight.

The deadlines were a smokescreen.

The deadlines were not the reason the fight isn't happening. Again, Oscar is the reason that the fight isn't happening. Canelo is his 'Golden Egg' in what's a ruthless business.

How were GG and the WBC trying to stack the deck against Canelo?

It's silly to suggest that Canelo felt disrespected by the WBC. Again, how? In what way?

Canelo didn't have to relinquish the belt and fight Smith.

GG wanted to negotiate after Canelo had beaten Cotto. It was Canelo and Oscar etc who delayed things by wanting a voluntary against Khan. So the WBC and GG didn't stack the deck in their favour, they gave Canelo what he wanted, but on the understanding that they both had to negotiate afterwards.

Of course Canelo deserves props for what he's achieved so far. But I'm looking specifically at the GG saga.

In hindsight, Canelo and Oscar should have made their intentions clear from the start. They should have dropped the belt after Cotto. They should have said that the opportunity to fight Cotto was too good to turn down but they weren't ready for 160. Then there wouldn't have been a problem. The problem is, instead of relinquishing the belt months ago, they asked for a voluntary against Khan and gave everyone the impression that they wanted to fight GG, even though they clearly didn't. So although I give him props for what he's done in his career, he doesn't get any for kidding the fans he wanted GG, before going on to fight Liam Smith.

Just follow the timeline from late last year. Look at the comments they made in various interviews. It's a joke.

People appreciate honesty.

Regarding Khan, why does he deserve props for that?

Why does he deserve props for Smith? He weighs in at 172 pounds on fight night. Of course there's negativity surrounding that fight. What do you expect?

Wonders for boxing?

At this point, how and why would GG make a serious effort to make the fight?
