Well, Canelo probably got beat up badly when the two sparred together and he understood that he had to find excuses to avoid GGG at any cost.

He's bigger than khan and cotto but they weren't 150 lol and Canelo's weight has been undisclosed, so we're guessing. Definitely a heavy guy but too short and stubby to compete at middleweight. He's stuck between a rock and a hard place.

claimed to be World Middleweight Champ until he was forced to defend it @ 160 the official Middleweight limit. Then the coward meeklyhanded it over to his Master GennadyGolovkin

Even Col Sanders refused to sponsor Pollo saying " Wewant nthing to do with a fat yellow chicken" Bawk Bawk !!!

    :good

That's the problem Canelo apologists can't get their heads around.

Canelo can weight whatever he wants, he does not have to weigh 160, the 160 is the LIMIT.

Anything between 154-160 is middleweight so you can have one fighter weighing 155 and another weight 159, it is within the weight class.

That's what weight classes are, where does it say in any rules that fighters have to weigh exactly the same weight? Or within a 1lb of each other?

It does not but they shifted the argument to this "Canelo is not a MW" even though he was in the weigh class and held a MW title.

These so called boxing fans do not understand weight classes :yep

Canelo has never needed a catchweight. The only people who needed a catchweight vs Canelo were : Floyd Mayweather (152) Cotto (155) and Khan (155).

Floyd, Cotto and Khan would NOT have fought Canelo at the normal weight limits for those titles. (154,160,160) THEY needed Canelo to agree to a catchweight or those fights wouldn’t have happened. Understand??

It’s not that Canelo fans don’t understand weight classes, it’s that Canelo’s detractors are going around acting like Canelo needed 155, when in reality it was Canelo’s opponents that needed those catchweights.

You are also going around acting like Canelo demanded a catchweight for GG. Again, that never happened, that’s just your way to try to make Canelo look bad and GG look strong.

Canelo stated emphatically after knocking out Khan that he had no problem fighting GG at 160. But the WBC tried to dictate the terms of a GG fight within 2 weeks after the Khan fight, and was ridiculous for number of reasons. It just proved that GG is not interested in fighting Canelo, the Lineal MW Champ, after the belt was no longer held by Canelo. The fact that the WBC just awarded the belt to GG without him having to win it just proves how corrupt and on the side of GG the WBC was.

Canelo is now free of that title, and has a title fight at 154. The guy deserves mad props for what he’s doing. I want to see Canelo vs GG as much as you do, but it takes two to tengo and if GG doesn’t make the fight, then Canelo could be the Lineal MW Champion till the end of time which will always leave GG without the designation of Lineal MW Champion !! How can you be the Man at MW if you didn’t beat the Man who Beat the Man who Beat the Man?
