Sergio Martinez offered to fight Void at 154 and even 150, but Void refused. Void refused to fight Paul Williams, by the way, Williams has been getting a little better. I think there is some hope for him. Hate to see him in a wheelchair. We have lost to many boxers from car wrecks, motorcycle wrecks, etc.,

The funny thing is MOST of the people on here who are NOT bitching about the catch weight title fight against Floyd and Nelo were the ones in full out "***** mode" when Manny fought Cotto and Marg at a catch weight. Floyd of course led that movement but whatever Floyd does......his fans accept without hesitation.....a lot of his most passionate fans are more like lambs. And fanatics of any boxer or athlete are no different. Floyd just has no moral fabric that is worth anything. .......it's why he doesn't care about telling the truth, honoring his word or even a legal binding contract.

 

It's pretty clear to me that Leonard Ellerbe gas got under their skin by their reaction in episode 3 of All Access. I was waiting for this and its happened. Canelo's team know they offered the catchweight because they were scared of not getting the fight and losing the payday. Ellerbe exposed their incompetence because Floyd had fought at 154 pounds before hence they did not need to do this but they did because of their stupidity and incompetence. This was a mistake Cotto did not make. The other stupid thing they did including Canelo was accept help from De La Hoya. They actually think Oscar won the fight. Oscar's blue print got Ricky Hatton and Ortiz knocked out and it will get Canelo knocked out as well.

Nah, Floyd Snr said he didn't want his son to fight Canelo at 154. Floyd Snr wanted Canelo at 147, Jr agreed. Canelo would have loved to fight at 154 but with Floyd you got to do the negotiations right or he will pass on the fight plus, Showtime is about business Floyd had to make something shake.
