Wtf does that even mean? Are they now in on the fix?

Since when does a governing body have to make a truce to get a challenger to agree to accept belt if he was to win?

    What has happened to boxing?

I never understood the whole thing between the WBC and Alvarez anyway.

They have helped him in many ways, even making it possible for him to win a vacant 160 belt, that should have been Golovkin's in the first place when Cotto dropped it, then allowing him to defend it against Khan to boot.
And going back in time, they let him win a vacant 154 belt to welter Matt Hatton too.

The WBC has helped him troughout his career, and only when the pressure and ridicule from fans and media forced them to uphold their own rules for once, Canelo felt betrayed for some reason.
