This topic is cringey. First off, the article states that Eddy Reynoso claimed that Canelo was "baffled" , not "angered", to learn that not only did he not win Fighter of the Year by the BWAA but that he wasn't even short listed for it. So with that, this topic's title and the title of that article is misleading which says that Canelo himself was angered over it.

Every response to this topic seems to be a response to hearing that Canelo was angered or was complaining about it. A Scene article claims that Eddy was frustrated and angered over it, but that article didn't say that Canelo himself was angered or even "baffled" by it like the Metro article claims. We know that the U.K. Metro News has some kind of agenda against Canelo for some reason. Wasn't there a writer on that site who had the first fight like 10-2 GGG or something lol ? And now with rumblings of a potential Canelo vs Callum Smith fight the Metro isn't going to do Canelo any favors.

What we have here is Eddy expressing his frustration of Canelo not getting even shorted listed for Fighter of the Year. That is pretty disrespectful considering Canelo captured the undisputed Middleweight Title by beating GGG fighting "Mexican Style" which GGG and many of Canelo's haters asked for since Sept 2017. Whether or not Canelo won Fighter of the Year is one thing, but for him to not even be short listed for it is definitely head-scratching and worthy of comment.

And we have pratically every response here acting like Canelo himself was crying about it lol. Why is it that whenever any member of his team makes a statement around here, it's always treated like Canelo himself said it?

Folks it was Eddy who made the statement. While metro's title is misleading and the OP is misleading, I got to be honest, I'm pretty baffled at how Saul Alvarez didn't win Fighter of the Year or even make the short list. The snub is obviously due to the clenbuterol shenanigans, which is unfortuante. No surprise to see a bunch of GGG fans react like this, but you would think that the BWAA would be above that kind of nuthuggery thinking. Apparently not, at least now we know that the BWAA isn't involved in some kind of behind closed doors conpsiracy with De La Hoya which would be the prevaling sentiment around here if Canelo won FOTY lol.

I'd put Josh above Canelo on who he faced.

Aaaand ... right on cue, here's Shadow.

He does make a fair point that nowehere is it claimed that Canelo was actaully angry at being left out, merely baffled.

Well if there's confusion in his camp as to why people are "overlooking" him, he should read this thread.

Did you miss me or something ? LOL You're always asking for me to respond, you must really rate me as a poster to be calling me out like that. I'll take it as a badge of honor.

Care to explain this gem ? :
How is it that Canelo is some kind of "entitled, cheating, favoured little brat"? Was it because Canelo was just so angered about not making FTOY? Maybe if that really happened that would lead you down that road, but I'm afraid this is you projecting and playing "make believe" like usual. Canelo didn't say he was angered but with you out in GGG la la land, anything his team says means Canelo himself it it right ?

What's it like living in "the Land of make believe" ?

Nah, somebody asked whether Canelo had any fans left. I knew the moment they dropped some dough in your account you'd be here.

    1) Tries to weight drain his opponents
    2) Creates his own weight divisions to suit himself
    3) Lies about being too small for middleweight and then jumps straight to SMW
4)Demands to fight in Vegas where he is favoured
    5) Gets favourable scores every time he fights
    6) Gets his own custom wrapping that's illegal elsewhere
    7) Takes PEDs
    8) Is angered by being accused of taking PEDs even after failing two tests
    9) Gets a slap on the wrist for taking PEDs
    10) Ducked GGG for years until he got old
    11) Cherrypicks fighters at the end of their careers in the hope of scoring easy wins over big names
    12) Has a truly loathsome manager
    13) Posts cringey pics of himself on big hairy horses described as "hermoso" when its obvious that he's referring to himself
    14) Gets fed all the punches he could eat vs GGG and acts like he won big at the end of it

    ... Yes.

    And I probably missed some.

What's it like being the only guy in a glass box pretending everybody outside is living in "the land of make believe"?

And just to put the icing on top, comparing this topic to the Scene comment section, you've got to be kidding me saying those comments are in way comparable to the kind of comments in this topic. So it's "Just 1-2 diehards hanging on ginger's sack" ? ? All you have to do is scan through a few pages of those comments to find that your summary is complete and utter shyte.

But it's telling that you thought to compare this topic to comments over at the Scene. You're trying so hard to convince yourself that the %'s here at ESB when it comes to Canelo and GGG are just a microcosm of the rest of the boxing community lol. Compared to the Scene, it's a GGG nuthuggery fan festival around here lol.

BF24 has a higher standard of poster than the Scene. You know this, right?

Sure, there are a couple of kiddies and some alts making noise on Clenelo's behalf there. They may not even be paid. But the forum is overwhelmingly of the opinion that Canelo is full of **** if he thinks he should have been shortlisted.

It's scandalous what happened TBH. Roided up to his veins, losses and gets a decision in the first fight vs GGG. The second fight again he was fortunate and then they feed him that piece of meat aka Rocky Fielding for an alphabet strap.
