Canelo-Angulo at 155lb catchweight, why?

More than likely Alvarez couldn't make weight. Before the fight was announced, he was looking pretty heavy.

 

wierd he could make 152 for floyd. before that 153 for trout and has never had any problems making 154 ?. now all of a sudden he cant make it?

Alvarez can't make 154 anymore, and at 160 he is toast, he really looks dehydrated, so GBP really cashed out on him against Floyd

Maybe GBP want to serve Quillin on a platter to Canelo for his first fight at MW. Canelo already said he was targeting the winner of Cotto-Martinez, which is a fight for the MW lineal title.

Canelo needs a high profile fight next and if he gets past Angulo he will look to fight the winner of Martinez/Cotto.

 

I've been thinking about how Canelo's best win was really about a draw. I'm not sure what to think about Angulo at the moment. He's inconsistent but if beating Angulo leaps Canelo ahead of Golovkin at a shot vs Martinez, then I hope Angulo wins.
