Canelo doesn't make it into the pantheon of Mexican Greats. If Mexicans were to make a Mt Rushmore of boxers overlooking the Capitol, Saul Alvarez would not be featured there. Done and done.

Canelo is amongst the greatest Mexicans to ever lace them up, regardless of what happens from here on out.

To be ranked amongst the greatest Mexicans of all time is a highly impressive feature.

The least likely part of this is Eubank jr fighting against Canelo, if you want to make it believable Eubank jr is the last name you would drop.
I don’t know how he still gets mentioned at all.
Canelo is tarnished forever and his legacy is worthless to me, he popped and got caught, but I can’t help questioning every single one of his victories.
It should be one of the greatest resumes in modern boxing history but he blew it.
    I don’t forget or forgive

I think Canelo gets a bad rep. He has already sold, signed, and delivered on MANY tough and huge stage fights. I believe at this stage of his career he may be allowed to cherry pick.

He never talks bad about mexican fighters, never expresses being the goat mexican. He praises those who have come before him (like JCC sr and jmm ). Doesn't go off on a tangent if they don't respect him back.

    He is good for boxing.

ROFLMAO Even the Mexican fans don't rate him. I have Ginger-Bivol & Ginger-GGG 1&2 recorded Ginger didn't come close to winning either . Bivol whupped his ass, he didn't win a round . When the Vegas judges gift him a draw you know it was a whupping by GGG too

He isn't ranked among the greatest Mexican fighter by the Mexican fans. They still remember El Pollo Rojo ROFLMAO

He is the world champion. He absolutely shouldn't be cherry picking.

Yeah the Benevidez duck is quite disgraceful
One of the most dishonorable ducks in Boxing history.

This is what happens when people become “too successful “ completely destroys their brand / legacy imo. But why would they care when they are filthy rich?

    disgraceful

Stunned at how many haters there are. Sure Canelo has had some bad cards, namely the Floyd loss and GGG1. GGG2 couldve been a Canelo win but I had it a draw (GGG win was also fine). The Bivol scores were bad too even if the right guy won anyway.

But Canelo fought a whos who of opponents and in thats rare in this era. Odd how much hate he gets

The vast majority of his career was cherry picking deck stacking A-side nonsense. He waited out and robbed Golovkin. The weight draining. The dodgy one sided cards. The complete waste of a fight fights like Rocky Fielding. The failed drugs test. Need I go on?

I actually like Canelo but he kind of represented everything wrong with boxing. PED use, robberies, ducking, cherry picking, etc. Usyk is the guy that’s saved boxing some face.

LOL But he was prancing around wearing a silly crown on his head declaring " I am the King of Boxing, I am the Face of Boxing, No one can beat me" BUT Then he met Dmitry Bivol who gave him the ass whupping of a lifetime lol Even his Vegas judges couldn't make a complete shut out into a draw & a "win" like they did against GGG!! But they did make it a ludicrous 113-115 close loss which was laughable. They were not the only gifts he got either lol

Cinnabunz is so hated that he gets accused of ducking a guy 3 divisions below him. Nice.
