Who is the best Super Middleweight that Canelo can beat for a title? Could he clean out the division?

I would make him favourite over both Callum Smith and Billy Joe Saunders. Benavides is a problem but the biggest problem is Caleb Plant. His speed of hand and foot, boxing ability, ring IQ is going to be an issue.

I would favor Canelo to beat all of the current champs at 168.

    Saunders is a MW, imo.

This. The competition is pretty weak at 168 at the moment. BJS is talented, but he doesn’t seem to be that motivated anymore.

Plant might make it competitive and get a draw at best but lose on the cards 12-0 shutout, but Benavidez absolutely can beat Canelo. Right now might be a little too soon, but let him develope I guarantee he forms into a great.

BJS has or rather had the skill, talent, and ability to fight on even terms with Canelo, and out of 10 tries could have probably closely but clearly won 2-3 before being shutout on the cards, but he's no longer a factor I'm afraid and will be remembered for wasting his career as badly as anyone. Canelo would beat him like he stole something.

Callum Smith........... Heart strangely says Canelo but my head strangely says...... Canelo. I don't think Smith has anything at all for Canelo, but before I typed all this rubbish I thought to myself the one guy who would be a big underdog who could actually pull off the massive upset without it being a fluke is Smith, and I could strangely envision it happening. That height and length is a huge order to overcome, hes durable, has power, solid fundamentals, hes strong. If Canelo can keep the fight on the inside consistently, Smith doesn't come close to hearing the final bell.

I've said it before here, but I think Canelo vs Smith is a better fight at 175 IMO.

At this stage Ward would be a walking dead at 168, Canelo stops him, 175 might be a different story....

Do you guys think canelo can make one great heavyweight fight? Who would it be against? He surely can handle at the most 25 pounds with weighing in wet wearing boots with rocks in his pockets. Maybe if he was closer to 190 fight time. Canelo would never back down from anything in terms of jumping weight classes. Just like bj Penn in MMA the talent and poise speaks for itself.

The real question is why is he running from 160? Saunders, Golovkin, D-chenk ... these are probably the best fighters he can face right now.
The only reason Saunders is up at 168 is because Canelo is up there for now. Saunders admits he's a MW and so does his coach. The only reason Golovkin would go up to 168 at present is to fight Canelo. So you have MWs willing to fight him outside of the natural division when they're all MWs. And the only reason Golovkin is denying the fight now is because he was screwed around for another year or so while Canelo ducked him.

Canelo is literally avoiding the best competition by cherry picking in higher weight classes.
