Canelo would beat all the 168 pounders except Smith who I consider the #1 SMW. Of course he hasn't cleaned out the division but I think it's pretty clear off the eye test that he's superior to Zurdo, Uzcategui and hypejob Benavidez. Canelo would put an absolute clinic on Uzcategui and Benavidez. Zurdo could make it tricker since he proved he can box decently against Abraham, but Canelo will be too much.
I don't know about Smith. He looked beatable before he fought Groves ,but maybe Groves is DeGale'd , who knows
Nah. Smith is too big and has the technical skills to back it up. But if it does go the distance, which it probably would, unless it's a complete shutout Canelo will get the decision.
Wrong Benavidez brother *Jose with 2 good knees would beat Crawford though* David B would send that scabby little toad Clenelo to the Ginger graveyard
Lol David Benavidez is ****ing trash. Canelo would make him look like a moron. Really David isn't any better than Jose. His best win is Porky Medina and that's just a perfect match up for him. He struggled badly with Gavril and Mama's boy Douglin.
What is? Who beats Canelo at 168? Canelo isn't like GGG. GGG at 168 would struggle with these guys since they'd be able to withstand his power. Canelo will counter Uzcategui to death and beat him to a pulp. Benavidez is just garbo. Zurdo can make it interesting but I think Canelo wins like 9-3.
C'mon Serge lol. David sucks. He's no better than Jose. Jose would have beaten a Porky Medina and a Dennis Douglin and Gavril lol.
Not sure where you get this low opinion of David, Douglin usually makes guys look beatable, as far as Gavril goes, he's 6'2 as well, and not an easy out for anyone. The size would be far too much to overcome. Quite frankly, looking at the disparity between Canelo and Fielding. There might be a few issues for Canelo there, especially if his power doesn't carry up to 168, and sooner or later it will. I'm not sure its that impressive at 160.
lol youngest ever SMW champion, was holding his own in sparring against world champions when he was still a fetus (GGG, Pavlik etc.), the only fighter in at least a decade who had Serge fearing for one of his opponent's life only 3 or 4 rounds into the fight. Speed, skills, power in either hand, and when switches to ''splosion'' mode he looks both fearsome and unbeatable. He would beat Clenelo like a red-headed stepchild even though he's young enough to be his son.
C'mon man we all had a very low opinion on David for a while now. I'm pretty sure you did too back in the Douglin RBRs. Maybe it wasn't you. I'm not impressed by David at all. He kind of reminds me of Parker in a way. No their fighting styles are not similar at all, but both have really fast hand speed and combinations but the rest of their game is weak. Canelo isn't that reliant on his power. The guy is skilled af. Arguably p4p #1, he is in my books. Smith would just be way too big with size for him, but the rest he'll overcome with skill. Who do you have beating Canelo at 168?
Sucks is harsh. He doesn't suck but he's nothing special. Neither is Uzcategui or Zurdo. Smith is clearly the best there. Canelo is special. No way he loses to Benavidez. There's no way. There's level to this ****.
