Who knows but please can we put to bed the lil Cinnamon thing, course those of us on here who are capable of being subjective always knew there was a valid reason why Canelo wouldn’t reveal his weight on the night, lest it come apparent why guys like Cottos punches couldn’t even tickle the would be super middleweight.
Sure he may only be 5ft 9” or so but as the commentator on Box Nation always pointed out that he’s an absolute barrel of a man and that was said when he fought Floyd so how many years was it that Oscar kept on telling us he’s no natural Middleweight?

I think you and @IsaL would be excellent choices to star in a reboot of....

Incel would be a great choice for a Vice documentary on that matter.

Yes I see what you mean, that old adage styles makes fights, just as Canelo v Golovkin was always talked about as a dream fight with Canelo being the counter puncher can totally see why Smith and his range would be a problem and let’s have it right, regardless of weight I’m not sure Canelo v Smith would be a fair fight anyway.
Oscar ain’t daft though and must know what this Fielding can and can’t do but I’d suggest this Smith if he can keep making the weight to be a different opponent all together.

Re Canelo I hope this Fielding fight is just a one off and that he plies his trade back at Middleweight 160lbs as the competition is there to secure his legacy as one of the top Middleweights of all time against guys like Charlos,Andrade,Billy Joe Nasal spray,Jacobs and possibly Hurd. All those are far above those at 168 imo.

I agree for Canelo 2. But if Canelo vs Smith was a Canelo/GGG 1 or Canelo/Lara type result and I lost a avatar bet, I'd be pissed. Canelo has the advantage always on the cards.

I feel you. The 2nd fight I thought Canelo won, I picked him too. But honestly if Smith vs Canelo was a Lara/Canelo type decision, it would be kind of ridiculous and I might welch on the bet lmao.

Zurdo could pose issues. I think the 2 top SMW are Smith and Zurdo. If Zurdo wins 8-4 it'll be a Canelo draw or 7-5 Canelo though lol.

How despondent it must be to know this as an opponent and conversely how uplifting must it be for Canelo knowing he can lose 8 rounds and at worst come away with a draw.
Not even Conor McGregor gets treatment like that. How ironic is it that the razzmatazz of MMA is actually scored fairer than the hundred year old sport of boxing?

McDonnell is levels above Fielding too. I'm not mad at the fight though if there's actually a point. If Canelo can fight any of the real belt holders and not the fake regular champ after I'm good. If not, I'm not really going to criticize it since he fought GGG twice in a row, but there's definitely a lot better fights to be made. And it's not like Canelo is being ducked, with the money he brings everyone and their mama wants to fight him. Hell he probably could convince Chocolatito to fight him.

Skoglund would beat Canelo's ass too.
Id fancy Skoglund to beat Badou Jack.
Pity the guy can't fight any more.

Even a 50% Callum Smith 12-0'd the Holzken kid.

Smith brothers are all underrated technicians. Especially Liam, but apart from Callum they are all 1 out of 10s on the athleticism scale.

Liam has got grapefruit sized testicles and he's a warrior but he is a very poor mover and he's pathetically weak and light hitting.

This is the same guy that gave Jaime Munguia and Canelo good fights. He also whooped Liam Williams who is a beast of an athlete and he did it twice for good measure. He beat Williams on pure grit. He out boxed and out hustled Munguia at times. He even out boxed Canelo for large periods!!!

Ffs if he's struggling with Liam, how the f is he going to fare against a physical specimen like Callum. The guy is a freak of a man @ 168. Callum will absolutely punish Canelo.

As I said I expect that bum Uzcategui to get whitewashed by Caleb Plant. Think he is the most overrated bloke going atm.

Benavidez isn't much more than a child at this point.

Gilberto is the truth, but he isn't a huge puncher. He has a shot against Smith with his hustle and he should be too big for Canelo.

Tbh Canelo is in a lot of ways a bad match up for Young Christopher. I give Canelo more chance than GGG against him for sure. He's got the slick skills to make it tricky

Canelo's lack of size and dwarfism will hurt him though. He's not a great mover and doesn't have the clinching game to tie Jr up.

Tbh anyone who can jab and grab can give Jr hell. Canelo can jab but he is too comfy and will let Jr unload on him. Canelo's stamina seems to have improved, but I guess when you fight a pensioner anyone can look like they have great stamina lol.

**** cause I doubt the fight ever happens and Jr is in no way deserving of a Canelo or GGG opportunity at the moment.
