I was more trying to imply Oscar has discussed money and retirement with him. I don’t think Kovalev wants to continue to be honest. That’s just my opinion. He in fact stated that in 2018. A part of him that truly loved boxing died when Ward low blow cheated him. Once again just my opinion.

That's the unfortunate reality of this board. WAAAYY too many here pick sides. I'm a fan a a LOT of fighters. It's silly how so many of these posters act.

That is one of the most important aspect of this fight. Though Kov did rebound against tAlvarez quite nicely.
Can Canelo stop him from being a bully at 175, we'll see

I think most people generally like most fighters. But the single, "great fight, looking forward to it" gets drowned out by the tide of "fighter A did this, fighter B did that"

I think its a byproduct of the medium, aka the internet. A lot of people grow huge cojones on fora such as these, because of the anonimity it provides and the fact they can take all the time in the world to come back with a "snappy & witty retort"...all things that are impossible whenever a conversation is real life in a bar, at work, at home, etc... So they tend to visit these parts mainly to get in arguments and "prove" they're right about so and so...in short, they get some sort of kick out of it cause irl they know their limitations, be it either physically or verbally. The cojones are mostly virtual cojones, not to be mistaken with folks that actually, demonstrably have them, if you know what I mean.

It is the size and how Kovalev was before. Can you imagine the Canelo who fought Cotto fighting the Kovalev who fought Hopkins?

Canelo coming up to LHW shouldn't be that much of a favorite, even against a faded older Kovalev.

The bodypunch knockout scenario everyone is picking is based only on that Ward fight, and that was stopped on low blows, rather than straight up body shots.
Yarde hurt Kovalev more to the head than to the body. Even if Canelo is a great body puncher, he still gotta get up close to land it first, who knows if Canelo will even carry his power up to LHW. Then there is stamina, will all the extra weight be a detriment to Canelos energy levels in later rounds.

Kovalev can win this fight, this is his division and his fight to loose. All these experts are having a brain freeze with their Canelo picks.

Went back to see Canelos Fielding victory and Kovas last fight.....

Kovalev is nothing like Fielding, and yet he is being treated like Fielding by the bookies and all the boxing experts.

Take a look at how Fielding chose to fight up close, giving up his height and reach advantages. And when he did throw shots from outside Canelo can only cover up, and still more than a few got in.

Kovalev will not let Canelo get this close to him and he won't stand in there covering up taking shots. He will move or tie up. Let's just see how big this ring is going to be on Sat., assuming it will favor Canelo.

Also, Fielding looks huge next to Canelo. And Kovalev will look even bigger by comparison at 175.
