Canelo Benavidez will not be the fight you think

These guys act like a flash knockdown means a guy sucks or something. I’m guessing they were too young to see Trinidad.

 

If experience is a major factor here, why did Jermaine Taylor beat Hopkins ? Hopkins was considered better in every way except for speed and youth. People are acting like Canelo is 28. Dude has aged and it’s noticeable. With that age comes slower reflexes and slower to recover. Benavidez is gonna make Canelos face look like ground beef.

 

Benevidez has far more power than Bivol.

 

They are casuals who just recite the usual talking points. Experience, or Benavidez has bad defense and blocks punches with his face, flat footed etc. Benavidez has been boxing since he was 3 years old and sparring elite fighters since he was 15. That is amazing experience.

End of the day, Canelo does not have the gas tank and feet to handle Davids volume, and that is the key. His counter punching will be done by round 4 and he will just be hanging on and blocking for dear life.

 

I seen elsewhere today that DB defense is so bad, that he had black and blue eyes after the fight because he was wearing glasses. . lol, the stuff people make up.

 

It's a great fight and on paper benavidez should win.
As of right now though I still favour canelo.
Benavidez is beating on guys and I don't see that against canelo. I think it's a tough gruelling fight where the extra experience and class cone through of canelo in a tight decision

 

I’m not disagreeing with you, especially based on his record, but have you ever seen Bivol actually sit down on his punches? All the fights of his I’ve seen are him throwing arm punches and then getting out of range quickly, which is very effective, but hard to produce ko’s that way.
