Saunders has to use his size advantage, this is a good study and prediction vid, Fouts has plumped for Canelo to 60% certainty which makes a lot of sense. Will Saunders be helped by being a southpaw?

The more I think about this fight the more chance I give Billy Joe.

I have heard people say movement is good but it's not going to stop Canelo ploughing forward if you don't throw punches or punch hard enough to earn respect.

FFS Billy Joe can sting much harder than Floyd. Tbh I am certain he hits harder than Lara, who is also an underrated puncher.

Billy Joe's stamina is probably the biggest issue for me. I am sure he can school Canelo for 6-8 rounds. Not sure he can keep it up for 12.

Unlike Jacobs and Andrade, Billy has a very good chin. The body punching is probably the biggest question mark

Can he take the body and arm punches. Canelo hits hard, every punch he will throw with bad intentions.

The larger ring gives Billy a big advantage. We saw how good Billy was vs David Lemieux, that was in a much larger ring. When Billy struggled vs Coceres, that was in a smaller ring. Something tells me that the larger ring will make the difference for Billy. He is very confident fighting in a larger ring, I don't think Canelo has ever fought in a ring this big and I think Canelo will not be used to such a big ring. This will be a very new experience for Canelo.

the problem is, with floyd, canelo was not skilled enough to touch him enough to affect his game. that will not be a problem with bjs. he will touch him. plenty. and it will affect his game. it will kill his game.
i dont know why people think bjs legs are going to win him the fight. he still has to connect real punches, and every time he does, hes gonna be put through some pain. how long you think hes gonna keep motivated to score real shots when hes getting rattled every time he takes a real shot at canelo?

in the interest of truth. i just saw an interview with bjs. he didnt appear rattled or scared. i saw a man looking like hes going through something hes gone through before. i still believe hes gonna end up laying it down, when the load starts getting heavy, but i dont think hes beat yet. the whole ring drama was just consistent with a man grabbing at anything as the water starts getting past his neck. i may have been wrong.

6-8 rounds lol, I do think Canelo comes on strong and earns a legit win.

Canelo is a p4p great in his prime

I won't be surprised if Billy puts on a masterclass, and wins though. Canelo is a better fighter but styles make fights and Billy has the style to beat him.

If BJS thinks that he can beat Canelo by hitting and running then he will be disappointed after the end of the fight. He will have to do a lot more than that to beat him.

I always thought Billy Joe would give Canelo problems stylistically, now it’s a matter of how he’ll react to counters, body shots and his stamina. Looking forward to the fight.

Canelo has bad stamina too and mainly fights in spurts.

Saunders is bigger and stronger than Floyd was, that fight was at 154.

I can't see a road to victory for Billy Joe, as his only chance is stick and move outboxing Canelo but he won't get a decision anyway.
There's a chance for a draw if he really dominates, but that's not very likely.

pretty much everyone canelo has fought was bigger and stronger than floyd. and here he is, p4p top fighter. how does that factor into your calculations?
