Both landed their jabs. Bivol to the chest / ribs area under Canelo's jabbing arm and Canelo to the side of Bivol's head. Canelo did push Bivol's jab down with his right glove but that was after it landed so I counted it.

What you call slaps is is immaterial to what landed. You're nitpicking and selectively ignoring some of Canelo's shots because they don't land the way you prefer. Now I agree it did land with the inside of the glove, but that doesn't make it a slap. It was a very flush shot.

I gave both Canelo and Bivol credit for landing jabs. I called it "dueling jabs". You were making it sound like I was only crediting Canelo. On the dueling jabs, I have no issue with anyone thinking Canelo's didn't land when watching it at normal speed, however when you slow it down you can see it connected.

Then this "debate" ends here.. Because you can't just admit a slap, jabs that barely touch if connect at all, and outright punches that don't land, are not scoring punches

I'll say the same thing I said to exo, which is that no 2 punches are the same. Some land better than others. We have to look at punches one at a time, but that said, we need to be consistent. So yes we need to remember how we are decidning what we consider landed when we credit another. Many of the shots from Round 1 got partly blocked but still halfway landed, so in many cases it's not easy to decide whether you consider a punch landed or blocked. But what I look for is impact. When I see a punch like Canelo's jab in the dueling jabs one, we know that wasn't blocked by Bivol, so then it's just a matter of whether the punch missed short or to the side. You thinking that missed is very understandable, I had the same reaction the first time I watched it in full speed from the DAZN angle, I thought it missed too. But then I slowed it down to 0.25x and saw the connect. That's what you have to do with some of these when we don't have the best angles.

What you consider scoring punches is your own calculation. I don't go out of my way to discredit certain punches like you do.

Again spin spin spin. Shadow you've just embarassed yourself here. These "punches" are for all to see and observe for themselves. As you've kindly provided the gifs. No one in their right mind would score these "punches". Talk about own goal lmao

And also would you mind answering this simple but important question I've posed to your for the 100th time? Because if you are scoring punches like this, you've also got to take in Bivols punches as below. Therefore you've admitted Canelo lost round 1.

Ha ha ha... I've had a good nights sleep and I'm ready for my shift.
I see Shadow is trying to drag this into semantics as usual.I see what he's trying to do by concentrating on these two none punches.
If he can "win" the battle with the none punches then he has the framing to move forward and count all the ineffective punches that Canelo throws later in the fight. I said straight after the fight that Bivol was clearly landing the vast majority of clean shots and Canelo was hitting the high guard and the arms. So I see where he wants to go but he's having a laugh and trying to bend reality to point where it's no longer reasonable.
