Here we go again. More hypocrisy. You discredited Bivols hook right hand to the elbow on page 12 saying it ricocheted yet you credit every Canelo arm and shoulder shot.

Last time I checked elbow is part of the body. This is getting real pathetic shadow. After denying clear footage/reality of a punch landing from Bivol landing you keep shifting the goalposts.

You have 0 credibility. The only way you coudl redeem some is just admit your wrong. You're too much of a narcissist to do that though

And also shouldn't we be counting Bivol's punches to Canelo's gloves? Hands are part of the body. Some of those shoulder punches were pulled punches, shall we count them as clean effective shots?

Well in nearly 60 pages we have gone from...
7-5 was a fair score by the judges and the fight was close for Canelo.
Which then became Canelo won the first 4 rounds and again the judges were fair for awarding this.
This then changed to Canelo won the first round clearly.
Which was then reframed as Canelo's arm and shoulder punches are scoring shots (despite being told by myself and other posters that they are non scoring at least 10 times)
Which is now Canelo's shoulder shots are scoring shots....

So yeah his narrative has been completely shattered depite him just ignoring the clear rules and reality becaiuse he is getting hammered.

    Shoulder shots are not scoring.
According to compubox it was 14-5 in round 1. The thread started with a user counting the punches as well, and ignoring all his "possibly lands" gets you to 9-3.

    You have clearly never boxed.

While GGG fanboys discredit Canelo's offensive good work on the notion they will dismiss it because Canelo landed quite a bit on the arms and shoulders of Bivol, they do no such thing to Bivol on the notion Canelo was parrying so much of it with his gloves and on top of that consistently making Bivol miss altogether.

The GGG fanboys say Bivol's black and blue swollen biceps and shoulders are proof of his defense, but lets dismiss altogether Canelo's usual fine defense of blocking punches and making Bivol miss.

You haven't brought anything to the table that hasnt already been discussed and addressed. Start from page 1. You're just coming off as fanboy of Canelo fanboy tbh

Absolutely. He keeps shifting the goalposts. The thing is you answer all his questions but he doesn't even address yours. It's like a one way conversation. He's still got 2 or 3 relevant to discussion questions that he has straight up ignored. To me, that is admittance of being wrong. It's the best we are going to get with shadow

Absolutely, the version of the replay I saw on youtube was a very clear overhead version of the fight from a fan at the arena's perspective with absolutely no commentating. I watched it as if I was there sitting close in the arena without any analysts influencing what I was witnessing.
This fans version of the fight actually is easier to tell if the punches are landing or not than the DAZN version broadcast to the public. I'd recommend people watch the overhead version of it.

Where does it say the body means the trunk? The body is the body anywhere above the belt-line. There are no defined non-scoring areas outside of the illegal areas (kidneys, behind the head, etc). When we talk about blocking, ellerbe referred to whether or not the fighter receiving the blow is intentionally trying to block or protect another part of the body with the area of the body that was hit, which I think is a good rule of thumb as to whether we should consider it a block or a landed punch.

If you are doing a shoulder roll to protect the head, it can be credited as a defensive maneuver. If you pick off a body shot by tucking your elbows in like GGG does for example, we can credit that as a block, because he's clearly intentionally using his elbows to protect another part of his body. But when Bivol was hit with that right hook at the end of round 1, he was not using the shoulder as a blocking mechanism to protect another part of the body like you do in a shoulder roll or with your elbows tucked to protect another part of the body. The punch was specifically targeted to land there, and he failed at blocking it with his glove which he tried to do. He absorbed the shot and Canelo found a home for it throughout the match causing considerable bruising to the area.

Even you stated that it strengths Canelo's effective aggression, which is in fact part of the scoring criteria. So regardless of what category you put it in, it's still a scoring shot that helped Canelo win the round. It definitely had an effect on the judges that swung the round for Canelo. My point is that there's nothing prohibiting that punch from being counted as a scoring shot, through effective aggression or through any of the other 3 criteria. When judges score rounds, they score it based on all 4 criteria, but it is up to the individual judge to make the overall decision on who wins a round and that decision isn't based on whether a specific landed punch like a shoulder punch is deemed to be a scoring shot or not. Everything that happens in a round can have an effect on who wins the round, and that punch regardless of how much you want it to be ignored as it pertains to the scoring of the round, was a part of why Canelo won that round.

Exactly he makes oy that it's a discussion but as the flat earth thread proved it's one way traffic with me debunking EVERY single evidence he provided and ignoring the many "Gotcha" moments that I knew he could not counter.
He will deflect onto something alse or accuse you of doing the same thing.
In fact it hot to a point that I could anticipate his response and in fact answer begore he did with correct guess on how he would anser and i did that several times to him in one thread it was hilarious.

I dont believe anyone is saying the shots to Bivols shoulders are scoring shots, but I will say that when a round is close where it hinges on the slightests of factors, Canelo landing those shots to Bivol's biceps making them turn black and blue can be a cause to consider that having more weight than shots by Bivol which Canelo is picking off with his gloves.
To me the shots to the biceps do more damage than a shot to the gloves picked off by Canelo. On top of that, you also have to credit Canelo on defense for making Bivol miss shots altogether.
Defense counts and needs to be factored in , especially in rounds where clean connects are few and far between both the fighters.

Indeed, that's the best way to score a match, with no commentary, from a fixed camera angle. On the broadcast you are at the mercy of their rapidly changing camera angles and sometimes the broadcast camera angles prevent you from seeing certain punches and how well they land. The overhead view is a game changer and it's been a big help in understanding why the early rounds were scored for Canelo. And in the cases where you don't have the best view of the overhead camera, you can always refer to the DAZN angles as well. Having 2 separate camera angles to choose from is very useful in determining which punches land.

That's the version I watched recently and yes it actually shows Canelo getting more lit up than the broadcast version.
Changing the angle doesn't suddenly make Canelo win the fight you tool.
