Canelo Blames Bivol for negotiations breaking down

Well, part nonsense with a goodly helping of horse-**** and drivel.

Bivol can still fight Canelo at 168.

Three of the four bodies would be fine with the bout.


If Bivol were to win (highly likely) he would be WBA, WBO and IBF 168 lb champion.

According to the WBC, Canelo despite having just lost, would still be the super-middle-wt champion.




Could the WBC make itself any less credible ?

Who do you think most (all ?) fans would regard as the undisputed, lineal middle weight champion ?

 

I don't agree with the WBC Russian ban. I think it's ridiculous. But to suggest that it's all a plan to help Canelo avoid a Bivol rematch is unfetterd. You know there's this thing called the Russian Ukraine war. In all sports Russian athletes aren't allowed to display the Russian flag. They aren't announced as from any country. So, I disagree with the WBC Russian ban, but it's clearly related to the Russian Ukraine war not some scheme to protect Canelo. To suggest it is, well lets just say, you got issues CJ lol.

 

All fighters with Russian citizenship are banned for fighting for a WBC belt. I don't agree with it, but that's their decision. Why? Because of the Russian Ukraine war.

 

Don't have any real interest in the rematch canelo can't beat bivol horrible styles match up for him. Bivol needs to fight Beterbiev and canelo needs to fight Benavidez. Both of those fights need to be made.

 

I'm sure you think AJ is the A Side if he faces Fury as well.

If Canelo was the A side then Bivol would have took his pay cheque and made the fight for a lower split despite already beating him.

 

The winner of Canelo Charlo will most likely fight the winner of Benavidez Andrade next. Bivol can't fight Beterbiev because 1) Beterbiev is injured 2) Beterbiev has to fight Callum Smith first 3) Bivol can't challenge for Beterbiev's title.

Canelo Bivol 2 could happen in 2025 after Canelo's 3 fight deal with PBC is complete. Hopefully by then Bivol will have an opportunity to unify vs Beterbiev and Canelo will have fought the fights the fans wanted vs the best PBC has to offer.

 

Neither guy honestly wanted the fight.
