I applaud Bivol for not giving into whatever Canelo's demands were. A lot of fighters would do whatever it took for the big payday.

you realize in Bivol very next fight he made 500k vs Zurdo? Man Bivol has had more excuses than a little bit to not fight a rematch

Headline: Boxer blames other side for fight falling apart.

In other news, Luis Ortiz is old and Tyson Fury is fat.

Guaranteed purse of $500k but allegedly as much as $1.5 mill after the PPV cut

Yes, it's disgusting how underpaid he is but if you believe he's being unreasonable to want more than he earned for the first fight after beating Clenelo and Zurdo, which even the absolute maximum was HALF as much as Caleb Plant earned for facing Clenelo who had fought trash, does not have a win over the face of boxing and then P4P king, than that's even worse.

If Clenelo can afford to pay Plant $10 mill, Smith and BJS 2.0 $8 mill, then he can afford to pay his father at least the same for the chance to avenge his ass whooping to him

My thing is with Canelo is why keep talking about it when the fight isn't winnable for him, i know i have no interest in a rematch. This is one L he's just going to have to live with, and move on. And I agree with the money splits as well, Bivol deserves at least what Plant and Sainders got.

Bivol only has Russian privilege, not white American or British privilege.

He's still 1 of 2 losses on his record. If he wants Bivol so bad for a rematch, then pay up.

It can still happen in 2025 - if Canelo can retain 3x in PBC. Maybe by then Bivol will have fought Berty.

Yeah. I have no problem with him wanting to avenge his loss even though it was one-sided. I also get that he's the biggest star and draw in the sport and if Bivol was asking for a bigger cut than him it would be ridiculous. But yes he deserves at least what Plant got given he actually holds a win over Clenelo and then beat Zurdo in his next fight.

Clenelo vs Bivol II is a bigger fight than Clenelo vs all those guys was and even if it isn't why on earth shouldn't Bivol get paid what they did for fighting Clenelo when he's already probably scored the biggest win in recent years by beating Clenelo?

Nobody knows Bivol you’re leaving that part out, guys get paid off of how many butts they put in the seat. Bivol don’t put butts in the seats and been avoiding the unified champ in his own division.. what you said sounds good if not for Bivol team making excuses saying it’s not about money they want legacy only to turn down a legacy fight with Beterbiev and turn down a rematch with Canelo over money both of which would be his best opponents.

Meh, just more reporters looking to get talking points from Canelo. Nothing really to see here.

The big question - is Bivol really never going to fight Artur, the Canadian Terminator?

I doubt Canelo cares how much Bivol makes. Why should he when CA can fight cans and make millions more and have his family set lifetimes over. Prizefighting for a reason.

Huh? For starters, every Clenelo fan on the planet knows Bivol

You think Clenelo vs Bivol 2 won't sell big?

A chance for Clenelo to avenge his loss against his surrogate father?

Then Clenelo isn't the star we think he is

All Bivol wants is fair treatment and to be treat with some respect, Clenelo doesn't want to concede to either because he doesn't want that smoke again

Bivol is not ducking Beterbiev. OG Bob is on record shutting that fight down numerous times
