Bivol has a legit one-sided victory, even if the cards didn't reflect it.

That's the ultimate leverage you have over a fighter you soundly defeated. Bivol doesn't care if the rematch happens or not... he really doesn't care. If Canelo want a chance to avenge his defeat, he's going to have to pay to play.

Leverage isn't just drawing power. Leverage is whether someone cares or not and Bivol doesn't care. If they don't care, you have no power over them.

Multi Millionaire? His net worth seems to be around the 1 to 1.5 million dollar range, he should get 5 to 10 times his net worth for what, what money does he generate or bring to the table? The man’s two best wins are two Super Middleweight champs who moved up. Canelo is already a hall of famer, his legacy is set, he has multiple other options including Benavidez, the Charlos , Andrade or even Crawford. fighting Bivol won’t change that. It’s called prize fighting, if you’re not fighting to secure the biggest prize why the **** are you boxing for then? You think 1.5 million is enough to retire for an entire lifetime? The man is 30 years old for goodness sakes. What exactly is he gonna do for the rest of his career, the 175 division is pretty weak.

You don't seriously believe that lousy estimate, do you? Bivol got paid $5 million in the first Canelo fight and made at least $1.5 million against Ramirez. How is he worth $1-1.5 million?

Bivol is worth at least $5-10 million and he's not a big spender. He's very comfortable and if Canelo wants to fight again, he's going to have to pay up.

Of course Bivol cares, it’s an easy fight and an even easier payday, you think Bivol doesn’t want to get paid? This guy had just beat Canelo and was willing to move down and fight him at 168 because he liked the money and profile he got from it.

You must be extremely deluded if you think Bivol doesn’t need Canelo, again where else is he going to make that money? He made 500k against Zurdo.

Are you Bivols personal accountant? I’ve searched his networth online and it doesn’t seem to be more than 1.5 million. That 5 million he made from Canelo he only got to keep around 2 million of it due to trainer fees, taxes and other expenses. He’s not a social media presence, doesn’t promote fights and barely speaks English, all his revenue comes strictly from boxing. 1.5 seems just about right.

Believe whatever you want to believe.

    $10 million... that's how much he's worth.

If Canelo doesn't pay him at least $10 million this time around, he doesn't care if the fight happens or not. He only offered to go to 168 because he wanted to be undisputed at 168, not because of money.

I’ve seen that website, seems to be a lie, another fake net worth site said he was worth 100 million. That website you posted said he was worth 5 million in 2018, wtf did he do in 2018 to generate that income. At least 5 legitimate net worth sites have his net worth around 1 to 1.5 million.

I guess pretty soon they'll be naming him Cowardnelo !! If he was a real MAN!! he'd say " OK lets do it again for the belts @168 50/50 split & Let the better man win" !! Sadly we know who is the better man already
    Dmitry Bivol !!!!!!

Funny how Canelo talked about how much better he'd do in a rematch against Mayweather, knowing full-well it would never happen. Bivol beat him as badly as Mayweather did in terms of outboxing him. In fact, Bivol made it look like Canelo hadn't improved at all since that fight. Not wanting to put his own belts on the line at 168 against the guy that beat him says it all. He has no problem dragging Jack down to fight for his title.

Personally, I think it's stupid for Bivol to want to go down to 168, there's an increased chance he'll get robbed since he's not the champion and there's no telling if he'll be drained.

Oh, and the A-side stuff is just about getting the lion's share of the revenue, anything else is being a diva.

Coward or not, Canelo has nothing to gain by having another boxing match with Bivol. Canelo, at this stage of his career, will be taking only 'safe' fights against manageable opponents. Bivol is looking for a megafight and the only fight available is against Canelo since he appears not to want to face Beterbiev at this time. Bivol will have to eat some humble pie and accept some of the onerous conditions coming his way in order to make the fight with Canelo.

Mate his net worth is over 10 million.

Like you said, it's prize fighting. We should he fight Canelo for a prize less than 50% when he's already beaten him once.

This is the problem with some fans on this site, apparently you included. When someone is already a very rich man, money isn't the sole motivator any more. Canelo doesn't want the fight because he believes Bivol offers him the most money in boxing today, he wants the fight because Bivol schooled him.

Bivol can continue his career making a million dollars a pop, he doesn't have to bend the knee to Canelo at all.

It shows what an insanely greed-driven control freak Canelo is and also that he isn't confident of beating Bivol.

He should desperately want that fight to avenge the defeat if he thought he could do it, any 'warrior' fighter would want revenge. Canelo would still make a fortune.

    Why not do it then?

Seems that he's not so confident so is happy to let the fight go for starters. And this is also his pathetic little power game too, where he wants to control everything even though he actually got beaten up and controlled in the fight already.

Funny thing is that I think Canelo could absolutely win the fight due to the corrupt judging. He wasn't far away last time after getting dominated.

    Imagine being a Canelo fan!

    Yeah, imagine that.

It's great being a Canelo fan.

You get to watch people cry about him all day long.

    It's like watching anti-trumpers and never-Trumpers go unhinged 24/7.
