I have watched Canelo fight various times. I have not seen any opponent hit him hard. I have seen him retaliate when he gets hit, which just seems to make his foes more intimidated. So far we would all have to agree that Canelo is having cherry picked opponents arrainged by Oscar De La Hoya in an effort to build the gate. I would like to see Canelo vs Cotto, but this is very unlikely.:hat

just watch the fight against cotto's brother with one shot and he was almost out on his feet, and jose miguel cotto isn't a world beater, and I'm mexican and think Canelo is golden boy's chavez jr, another paper champion

Give him time. Some adjust and some don't.
But yeah, he cant take a good one.
He has a habit of retaliating with his chin up high. A veteran with a punch could use that. Go soft on him for half the fight and then boom.
Micky Ward did that against Neary or someone.

He was hurt by Cintron, but Cintron was hurt too. So He could not follow up.

Kind of presumptious to claim Canelo can't take a shot. He's been matched carefully so far, but everyone has hit him without any negative results so far.
He's so young and still developing , so of course we'll not know how he reacts when hit with a big shot from an elite fighter until it happens.
It figured that Cintron would have tested his whiskers a bit , but seemed not quite himself and Kermit never got a really good shot off.
If Canelo were to ever face Kirkland, his ability to take a shot would determine if he wins or not. If he is indeed glass jawed , he'll be exposed soon enough.

He's 21 for **** sake, he can have all the cherry picked opponents he wants as far as I'm concerned, he's years ahead of where a 21 year old should be.

Nothing wrong with his resume so far.

He has only been rocked by Cotto when he was caught cold and came through that fine enough, I think his chin is grand and he will be the next Mexican great.

I don't think Canelo has a great chin, but he's not glass either. People are just desperate to find some reason to drag him down.

Hes young and his chin doesnt seem to be a problem. His biggest problem is defense. He also tends to do deploy the same stategy over and over, he needs to change it up more. Otherwise I think hell be just fine

Against Cotto, it was his first big stage, he was still cold and he was struggling to make 147.. That should be taken into consideration.. I think he's taking shots better now that he doesn't have to cut so much weight..
