He beat Antwone Smith but looked ****. Smith didn't really give him the room to get his shots off not sure if Canelo will/can do the same. If he still has anything left and they stand and trade then anything can happen.

Cintron does not deserve a title shot and this fight just goes to prove the advantages of being a Mexican with the WBC.

It stinks of Golden Boy's match making , i dont like the fight

Its a step up from Alfonso Gomez (who was beating Canelo IMO:D) so at least thats a positive

Thats something I hate nowadays. The stage of his career hes at is his going to be involved in his 3rd world title fight. I dont care how young he is, hes had a truckload of fights and is a reigning world champion so should not be fighting the number 22 contender. Once that belt went around his waist he became a champion, shouldnt be getting handpicked opponents now. And I know hes not the only champ that does it but it pisses me off. Supposed World champions being matched like prospects

Alvarez should take his time, iron out flaws and become more refined. There's really no rush as he's so young, so people should give him some leeway. The problem is of course they've already put a bogus strap around his waist.

I think he's being brought up well in terms of gradual steps up in class, but if he is cutting a lot of weight he'll hit a roof technically soon.
