    Loads of people think pretty much everyone PBF fights has a chance because they want him to lose. Plenty of people thought Oscar, Hatton, Cotto, Mosely, Maidana 2, Canelo and #48 had a chance.:deal

    Floyd's numbers go up the bigger the challenge. Floyd's fight against Berto was a backlash against the opponent, not for or against Floyd's "star power".

    But since you wanna play that game, is Canelo's true value what he pulled in vs. Lara?

    There, my friend, lies the catch 22.
    Any attempts to discredit Canelo also affects Mayweather's singular drawing power, against Berto.
    With that said, Canelo-Lara was around 360k, Mayweather being 400k vs Berto, a name in America emphasises the true drawing power of Mayweather, for Lara is an unknown Cuban and impossibly boring to watch.

    Mayweather's previous PPV's, how much of it was due to Mayweather? Or was it the throne that Mayweather was put on by the boxing world, as well as potential rivalries that are meant to mirror rivalries of old, that has delivered true star power?

    There are nuances in the business end, and Mayweather to his credit decided to take the role of the antagonist. The bad force is still A force, but the thing that is taking the wheel is not Mayweather himself.
