Win! I'n my opinion Canelo has the right antributes To cause 'money' serious problems. His speed, power, size and mental capabilities are all capable of upsetting mayweather and what he wants to do. The way Canelo throws his short compact shots makes it hard to roll of them and counter, floyd likes wide hooks (like cotto) in which he can catch and counter. Canelo throws two, three hooks and adds an uppercut and a jab which makes him safe. Then again floyd is something else and could very well take him apart and hardly get hit!

I don't think Mayweather should box at 154 again, both times he's struggled,

I wouldn't say floyd has 'struggled' at 154, he struggled against de la Hoya which was a hard and interesting fight. He pretty much did what he wanted against cotto.

Can he cause Mayweather problems? Yes, can he win? No IMO.

I think we should want to see fighters in competitive fights. Clearly 147 won't do that for Floyd.

As for Canelo, not smart enough and too hittable, plus Floyd paces himself better. Fun fight, Floyd overwhelms him late.

Floyd would fight a different fight against Canelo than he did against Cotto. I think he'd systematically rip him apart to be honest. Alvarez is very promising but still a little too raw.

Thing is he's only 22! He's progressed at a phenomenal pace considering his age! In 5 years time that lad can be untouchable if progresses the way he has. Floyd v Canelo both in their pecks would be a terrific fight and a great clash of styles. Both are physiologically very talented the way they pick there shots and move etc. shame it will never happen.

In 5 years Floyd will be in his 40s. I would say Canelo might take him then.

Floyd would box his head off imo. Canelo is too economical to take someone like Floyd out their comfort zone. Great performance from Alvarez last night but SSM didn't bring a defensive game at all.

    Canelo will never fight Floyd.
Golden Boy know hes nowhere near ready, and by the time he's as good as hes going to get, Floyd will be gone. Floyd wont hang around in decline, his ego determines that 0 must be with him into retirement.

It was cringey listening to DLH say he has waited 15 years to find someone to take the throne.

Pretty much agree with this.It would be a re run of last night, like Cotto he would show he is a class act and make Floyd work but all the eye catching stuff would be from Floyd.

Canelo is really good and he defiantly would cause flloyd alot of problems. But Floyd in my opinion is a complete boxer. As much as people hate him i think we should feel happy we seen this fighter in our era like how the older gerneration felt with Ali and others with Rocky Marciano.
These fighters are rare and few and far between. I honestly don't think that anyone would beat flloyd at welter or light middle i just think he is special.

i am not his biggest fan i hate his attitude but you can't deny he is the best pound for pound fighter,

Canelo's all right. That's about it. Beating up the names of once fantastic fighters isn't the same as beating those prime guys.

He's yet to face a genuine, prime opponent at 154. It's ****ing shameful the hype he's getting off the back of that.

The thing that impresses me about Alvarez is that he has the composure and confidence in his strategy of a fighter with twice as much experience. He throws good combos, doesn't waste punches (almost to his detriment at times) and has good all-round skills.

You are right that he has yet to face someone who has pushed him past his comfort zone but I really like what I have seen so far of Canelo.
