Canelo decides to take the Golovkin rematch in May

Yes unlike some American pundits who can’t see past their bias of BJS you’ve championed him for some time now.
Michael Montero someone who I like to watch has a hang up with Saunders,he predicted Lemieux by TKO and even after his impressive victory he feels Jacobs would beat him.
BJS Saunders now has a very impressive resume on the sly with wins over Eubank,Lee,Monroe,Lemieux and another level down Spike,him doing well imo has always been about if his mind was on the job as his boxing ability has never been in question,just strange CST80 is it not how you and a few others on here have been on him ever since his win over Eubank and yet it seems like his win over Lemieux has surprised the boxing community when for us it was just expected lol.

 

This isnt any news.
Its a Golden Boy show, of course Canelo gonna agree terms. We all knew after Lemieux vs BJS that Canelo vs GGG II will happen next May.
What I want to know is when GGG signs the dotted line. Then its official.

 

I remember that long post of yours, before the 1st fight, where you tried to dissect
the causes (from your optic) of defeat of Canelo vs the powerful Golovkin.
Impressive in the details (good work, the logic at that moment could concede the reason to you),
but as the fight showed, all was hot air: Canelo was in full force, show vast improvement,
shut up many mouths and IMO won the fight.
(BTW i'm not calling you names, learn that).

 

Who else would he fight? Danny Jacobs and BJS are stylistic nightmares for Canelo. Charlo as well.

Canelo is in trouble once GGG retires. Way too many rangy slicksters with footwork at 160 now.

I guess he could cop sloppy thirds in Lemieux.

 

Great stuff,just a bummer that it’s not a fair fight as Golovkin just can’t win on points no matter what he does,most folk felt he won that fight 7-5 or 8-4 and yet he came away with a draw,had Canelo looked like winning they would of given him the win.

Canelo needs to find another 20% from somewhere and Golovkin needs to start stronger and stop head hunting as Canelo did have some decent defence I thought so strange how GGG never threw any body shots.
I expect this time GGG won’t show him as much respect,still this fight despite Golovkins dominance from round four onwards is still anyone’s imo and whilst Canelo came in for some stick for his back peddling I thought Canelo did really well and showed what a class act he is.

How about Saunders waits his turn like a good boy.Saunders should be gunning for Jacobs, Andrade, or Charlo, make a name for himself, and then start calling out the top dogs at MW so that they can't deny him, but until then Saunders needs to climb the ranks, he just graduated from regional level fighter, next is graduating from world level contender.

Since the Lemieux fight isnt really on the table for Canelo anymore, the next fight that makes sense...for both, is the rematch.

So when the hell is Triple G signing that paper ?

Cuz I wasnt worried about Golden Boy and Canelo not agreeing on financial terms.

 

Another clear win for golovkin Canelo will gas again with the pace golovkin sets and all golovkin haters will claim Canelo won

 

In the last 4 rounds of the fight, Canelo had better tank that Golovkin (unlike the middle rounds).
BTW I'm not a hater of great Golo, simply he showed his limitations vs Canelo.

Because he did nothing and knew he didn't have to win that many round because the fix was already imo golovkin has plenty left

 

Arguably , Canelo won at least 2 of the 3 last rounds (consensus, yet of Golo fans)

 

There was never any doubt that Canelo wasn't going to take the rematch. This time Canelo proves he's the better man as he did the first time around and puts on a masterclass. The thing for me is figuring out how much doe to put on Canelo in the rematch!
