How can you win a fight taking off 80% of every round, landing 2-3 good punches that are eye catching, getting out thrown and out worked by over 300 punches, getting out landed almost every round, and not controlling the pace of any of the rounds??? The fix is in the most corrupt state in boxing with the We Be Chicanos :deal
Exactly. In the Cotto fight Trout did he usual boxing thing but in the first half of the fight he also recognized that he had to establish dominance. Which he did. He never really did that in this fight. Its one thing to be more active. Its another to make it count. Also controlling the pace of the round was in most rounds Canelo. He really fought when he felt like it. I think the best tell that Trout wasn't "in command of the fight" would have been that he never countered or discouraged Canelo from going on his right hand barrages. He basically just got the **** out. If that had been Cotto's left hook there would have been a counter or a retaliatory combination right afterwards.
I watched some of the replay this morning and to be honest sure Canelo was coasting a lot but Trout wasnt all that effective when Canelo wasnt fighting When Canelo did fight his 20% of the round was often better than Trouts 80% of the round
its not taking the round off. Its his style. he fights in burtst, then when he does throw he throws with power. So he has moments where he doesn't throw much, but he's still looking for counters and defending. Trout wasnt landing
Exactly, I aint even going to argue with those who have a close win for Canelo at least they know who won. But those claim Trout won Get the **** out of here... there is no affirmative action when you score a boxing match...
