Hopefully we get to see them fight and see who actually pulls the win off,we’re I disagree is the part about a Benavidez fight just being a regular Canelo fight. There is a lot of interest in seeing these two fight as well as the facts I already mentioned that this is the biggest and most lucrative fight out there for Canelo .

You just listed 3 cherry picks without realizing. Shows how totally delusional Canelo fan boys are.

dude Benavidez ain’t no draw, and he ain’t no established killer he hasn’t killed nobody good yet. His best win is a recently KO’d Caleb plant that he could have fought 3 yrs earlier but ducked out.
Canelo name is gonna bring in 500k at worst based on all accounts, and Canelo gets paid regardless who he fights so the opponent don’t matter.
From a pure boxing standpoint every one of Canelo last few opponents have done more than Benavidez. Ryder beat Jacobs and Parker and fought callum and fielding in fights most ppl think he won both and got robbed. That’s better than any comp David has been on with, GGG was unified champ at 160 David has never attempted to unify anything, Jermell Charlo is undisputed champion at 154 he didn’t beat one guy he took the titles off 3 different elite high level opponents.
Bivol was an unbeaten champion in a bigger division with wins over guys like Barrera and smith.
David is a solid young fighter and when he fights Canelo it should be a entertaining fight, but right now all he is, is hype he struggled with Caleb and could barely figure out the clinch, fought a washed up Lemiuex, kyrone Davis,Ronald Ellis, yall be buying into this ducked stuff yet top guys have been calling him out and he ain’t answering the call.

I think the potential is there for it to be a bigger fight but David needs some more wins, if he actually fights and beats Andrade, Andrade and Plant b2b ok now we talking. The more top fighters David beats the bigger the fight becomes, that’s how boxing works outside of anomalies like tank-Ryan.

What has Charlo ever done? 154 doesn’t mean anything at 168. I could see if there wasn’t a contender like Benavidez at 168. But dragging up a jr middle to super middle makes no sense at all. Benavidez did not struggle with Sweet Hugs at all. He battered him all over the ring making his face a bloody mess. You say Benavidez isn’t a draw but Charlo has 0 ppvs. Ryder? Lmao. It’s amazing the pretzels you guys will twist yourself into to justify this nonsense.

I'm going to ignore the rest of your drivel but davids ppv did 175k. Charlo had one ppv with his brother and it did under 100k. His last fight was on free tv in front of 7000 people in a local park. Not that being a draw matters for Canelo anyway considering the no names he has fought like bivol, ryder, fielding. Now fan boys pretending the charlos are big draws. Your excuses are laughable and make no sense literally.

This will be Canelos 8th fight in the division without fighting the number 1 contender. He only fought 4 times at 160 before he fought GGG.

dude every single person Canelo has fought recently can be argued as better than Benavidez. personally I’m interested in that fight I just don’t buy into the duck talk. We fans fans are gonna hype up fighters we like but they boxers and likely don’t see these guys the way we do..
for me guys like Benavidez or Andrade I don’t feel sorry for they both have had opportunities to fight guys that would put them in a better position and they decided to duck out of fights.
Saying that I had no interest in a John Ryder fight but Ryder fought callum and Parker and arguably beat both Benavidez and Andrade could have fought callum and Parker and ducked, yet you want me to say canelo ducking because he hasn’t picked David yet? If you sitting around doing nothing waiting to get picked it’s your own fault.
What you do in other divisions does matter that’s why a champion can move up and automatically fight for the title in the next division.

Jermell's resume is ridiculously weak. Hell, Shadow, in all his touting of Jermell as a great threat, refuses to say who Jermell's best win is over.

david Benavidez has never been the #1 contender, he wasn’t rated over callum, wasn’t rated over plant, Saunders was a champion, yildrum was WBC mando, and Ryder was WBO mando.
Let me ask you this you keep saying David the #1 contender can you tell me who he’s beaten that puts him over anybody that Canelo has fought at 168? I ain’t got no problem with that fight and think David tailor made I think it’s as simple as homie ain’t done sh!t..
in 3 years at 168 Canelo went undisputed unifying all the titles he beat the #1,2,4,7,8,4 in the division beat the unified 160 champ, fought the wba 175 champ.. in that same time period Benavidez has fought kyrone Davis, David Lemuix, and a recently KO’d Caleb plant who he couldn’t even drop once… you expect me to believe canelo ducking him the same David that said he need 15mil to fight Andrade last yr and just ducked Morrell this year.. I’m sorry but nah man more than likely the reality is David need to get his weight up and get a few wins and he will get the fight.

Lol, wtf. You aren’t the number #1 contender when you hold the belt. You seem to have forgotten that. It was only when Benavidez lost his belt that Canelo wanted to unify.

I don't agree with the logic but I completely understand it now. Canelo is the cash cow but he isn't to the same degree Floyd was, that said his fights won't just be big regardless of who he fights. Seems like he's been aiming for history or high profile with his choices besides the obvious soft touches in between to stay active. Charlo wanted this fight a long time ago but who can argue that it's a much bigger deal today because of Charlos profile now? Same applies to Benavides, he's a guy who all this time before Canelo got to his division simply hadn't done much as far as separating himself from the division. A fight with Andrade would put another credible name on his resume and lead into a Canelo fight much better. But then we'll hear he was a drained corpse as well if he's defeated. Canelo supposedly "waiting him out " isn't doing any favors to a fighter in his 30s already slowing down guys. It's all business strategy.

You guys are always bitching when it concerns Canelo, I could of sworn I've heard people say Canelo will never fight Lara, GGG first time, GGG second time, GGG third time, Billy Joe Saunders, Sir Gay Kovalev, Bivol, after Rocky Fielding everyone was saying Canelo fought a bum and that he'd never beat a real 168 pound champion like Callum Smith, now it's Benavidez? Where the hell is Benavidez gonna go, he's younger than Canelo and not even in the ballpark of one of Canelo's toughest challenges, he beats him and he's a bum who had a horrible resume. You guys were in line making excuses even before Canelo fought Bivol claiming Canelo picked the weakest and softest hitting of champions and that Canelo was gonna win. It's always an excuse.
