Which is why he's avoiding 160 like the plague

Agree, GGG is just a much more complete boxer, while also having that murderous punching power.

Look at how many punches Kirkland landed on Canelo in three rounds, if GGG landed that man he'd be knocked out.

The guy is 24. Look at his resume, he ducks no one. They have already sparred, so he has a general idea of what to expect. Canelo is one name in the 154-168 realm I have no doubt would man up and face GGG and I expect it to happen next year, depending on how Cotto/Geale turns out.

edit - My pick would be GGG by stoppage.

yeah, that was a great performance, but Kirkland was tailor maid. You want to do something big, fight GGG.

Exactly. Perspective guys - he's just 24. He's doing GREAT so far and he won't have peaked at 24. There's a lot more to come.

He said he wants to fight GGG "in the future".. so down the line. Cotto is the more immediate match-up that makes sense.

  7. Nah, Gennady can be hit, but his stamina is clearly better and all of his shots hurt.

I agree wholeheartedly. If he moved up to 160, people would be all over him trying to force his hand to fight GGG. So, he just continues with his bullchit catchweight fights.

Here we go, GGG would come down to fight Floyd but canelo should go up to fight GGG? One thing with canelo the guy doesn't duck fighters, fought trout when they said he would duck, fought Lara and his team didn't want him to take that fight. I know he would fight GGG, not sure his team would let him but the kid would take the fight.

GGG is ducking Ward, Kovalev and all the bigger fighters he wants none of. Calling out the 154 but ducking 168 and bigger guys. Can spin it all day here.

Great? Um, no. He's been the bigger guy in almost every single fight and he's the catchweight king. Hardly great.
