Schemes? He's fighting a supposed over matched guy for big money after fighting 6 top fighters in a row and most of those fighters were very HIGH RISK-Low reward.

With Khan he doing the same thing Pacquiao, Mayweather, and most big stars ABUSE.

Golovkin fought at 165 pounds in the amateurs 12 years ago.

A dozen years after they fought at that weight in the Olympics, Floyd Patterson and Michael Spinks had already become heavyweight champions. Or in Patterson's case, had won and lost the heavyweight championship several times.

Golovkin is still trying to get 150-something pounders to fight him.

If there were weigh-ins 30 hours before the fights in the 1980s, Dwight Qawi could've dried out to 160 and been middleweight champ like Golovkin.

Alvarez and Khan are both more middleweights in the classic sense than Golovkin ever has in that if they actually had to fight at 160 pounds in the ring that night they could.

Golovkin's not a middleweight. He could never enter the ring and compete at that weight. He couldn't weigh in below 160 and fight when he was an amateur (when they weighed him just before every fight). So there's no way he could do it NOw ... a dozen years later.

He's just taking advantage of the current rules for weigh-ins.

I'm tired of hearing him whine.

If Canelo and Golovkin fight, great. But Golovkin shouldn't even be in this weight class.

    And EVERYONE knows it.

he fought Trout, FLoyd, Lara, props to him, those where high risk fights

but he is making a laughing stock out of this fight with Khan, he will most likely outmatch Khan as badly as he outmatched Josesito Lopez

A laughing stock for making a 147 fighter fight at 155?

There have been FAR worse match ups by top fighters...

Remember when Mayweather who was the JR. MW champ (154) agreed to fight JMM who was campaigning at 135 at a Catchweight at 144? That was FAR worse. There are other countless examples of worse match ups.

Regarding GGG like it or not. His fault or not. His resume does not match people's opinion of him. Just hope he doesn't fade away before fighting some well matched bouts. He is top 5 p4p and doesn't have one great win.

As for canelo . Shame on him for fighting Khan but he has a fought better fighters than GGG has. Maybe even Khan too.

Not blaming GGG , he looks great and has the belts but he just never got the fights he deserved. Wrong era really

Canelo comes in the ring bigger than GGG. It's a fact.

Khan has always been better than Josesito Lopez.

Khan has the skills to outbox Canelo. They are the same size.

The whole key to this fight is Khan's chin ... which it is in all his fights.

If it goes the distance, the odds are good Khan wins, because Khan is a better boxer than Alvarez and he's a lot busier.

But most people are going to lean toward Alvarez stopping him.

Frankly, the more he steps up the fewer KOs Alvarez has scored. Cotto who was dropped by a lot of guys went the distance with him. Mosley went the distance. Hatton went the distance. Trout and Lara did.

    Khan is a live underdog.

Canelo adds weight after the weigh ins because it's allowed.

He turned pro at a lighter weight and has grown.

Golovkin was already bigger than middleweight before he ever turned pro 12 years ago. When he weighed in the day of the fight back then, he couldn't get below 165-pound class.

If there were weigh ins the day of fights when he turned pro, Golovkin would've turned pro at super middle or light heavy.

He never would've even sniffed 160. Because he couldn't get close to competing in that weight class way back then.

Yeah the chin is a massive problem. But also Khan can be pressured too. He doesn't auto win when not knocked out cause he loses rounds when under pressure from a save fighter. Maidana and Petersen showed us that.

You need to look at this from GGG perspective. Why move up when you have the dumbest fans in the history of boxing? Why challenge yourself when your fans are already calling you the best Middle ever despite the fact that Martin Murray is your best win?

Stupid post. GGG is one of the smallest middleweights. Lemiuex, Murray, Jacobs, Quillin, Canelo all outweight GGG on fight night. LOL

it's just as bad, instead of following the WBC mandatory rules he drags up a career 140/147 fighter for a fight at 155 for the WBC belt

it's just as despicable as Mayweather dragging up Marquez 2 weight classes and still failing to make the agreed CW
