There's no contradiction. He simply made a statement(see thread title) that rings true. You'd have to be dense not to understand what he meant.

Some of you are also placing boxers and runners in the same category:nono

You can be a boxer without being a runner! Huge difference:deal

Yea they may be trying to save face. But what a bit puzzling to me is, that's not what he said after the fight, and here we are months later, and now he says Mayweather was running. The truth is Mayweather took it to him early and exchanged with him at times. Canelo had opportunities but he just couldn't land clean.

You're right I made the mistake of responding to something without hearing his quote. He was actually referring to why he's not fight someone like a Lara and that's on me. However I do disagree with what he had to say about Lara, the truth is Lara is a more difficult matchup for him than Angulo.

Canelo was spoon fed tomato cans until he was perceived as a threat to PBF. He has stamina issues and is not a great boxer. Enough said. Let's see how he goes against a slow plodder with a chin and warrior's heart.

Yeah..... we want to have a lot of fun watching exciting fights. Most Cubian fighters are boring to watch. Rigondeaux and Lara are good examples of what I'm talking about.

Mayweather stood in front of this berk and thrashed him. Angulo must punish the ginger twerp for his sheer insolence.

dude in this day and age to make patently false statement is shameful. a simple google search will show that only in round one of his mayweather loss did he throw under 30 punches....landed...that's a different story.
