A good line would be Canelo -500ish, but something tells me it'll be bet down to around -200 by fight night because Alvarez is coming off a loss and Angulo looked really good against Lara. If so...

    :ldevil.

no blood, no knockdowns, no chicken dance, yet mayweather "beat canelos ass"...SMH
mayweather won and put on a clinic but they may as well have been wearing headgear. no one "whooped anyones ass" that night.

He is a very good boxer, and he's still very young. He's only 23/24. If he continues to take the sport seriously for the next 10 years it's scary to think how good he'll be.

However much of his hype is obviously to do with the exposure he has in Mexico/Latin America and not his resume. For some reason they have a huge hard-on for him there, I'm assuming cos he's white and somewhat good looking and well-spoken (maybe some Latin Americans can enlighten me?) so the people who make money from boxing have latched on to him and decided to use his superstar status, so he gets big fights. He's kind of the opposite of Golovkin in that way.

Indeed it is, the general public are too stupid to understand and appreciate good defense and leg movement.

To Lara's credit, the Trout fight was the first fight in awhile for him where he didn't fight down to his opponent's level, and the Angulo fight had something for everyone. This date should've been his; hopefully he gets a big-ticket fight before it's too late for him. He deserves a shot.

what gbp is banking on is that the angulo(70 punches/round) that showed up agaisnt lara no longer exists

i give canelo way more props for fighting perro than molina beciase there was no way carlos was going to beat canelo and the gbp judges. who knows what really happened behind the scenes but i give it more than a 50/50 chance that gbp wanted moina and carlos priced himself out becuase he knew he would not win.

canelo alvarez is one of the most overrated fighters i have seen in then last twenty years

there is no way that he should be on anyones pfp list as he would lose/lost to floyd, lara, rosado, kirkland(by ko) and possibly andrade(a taller, longer, harder-hitting version of trout).

A win against Mayweather would have meant a rematch worth tens of millions to him and solidified him as the next big PPV star, but yeah, he threw the fight so he wouldn't get in trouble. :nut

    Idiot.

You got that right, cause Lara will most likely knock his ass out. He knows that and that is why he chose Angulo. It seems to me that a fighter trying to come back up would choose the winner of a fight rather than the loser.

there is no way that canelo wll be a -500(before the trout fight he would be) as most of the clueless uniformed boxing people now know that canelo is simply not that good.

my guess is that the line will open and close at relatively the same odds with canelo -200 to 250.

lara was around a -600 against angulo
