    :deal

Honestly to me Canelo is a complete fighter or atleast will be. I know he can box a hell of a lot better than what he did in the Mayweather fight.

It was like he was content with just SPARRING with Mayweather.

    1) Angulo isn't that good either.... He struggled with Jorge Silva FFS and has lost EVERY time that he's stepped up.

    2) He's coming off a really bad facial fracture in his last fight. As you probably already know, these sorts of injuries tend to linger psychologically and will undoubtedly make him more tentative than he was against Lara...not to mention that the ref will probably have him on a short leash.

    3) Sportsbooks are going to go broke with a starting line like Canelo -200 for a fight like this, when there are so many obvious factors playing in Alvarez' favor.

haha fighters that say that another fighter runs is usually just saying my offense and footwork is not good enough to cut the ring and get to this guy. If they're really running, then why are they winning the fight and not you swinging at air.
Besides i see angulo wearing canelo down in the mid to later rounds, Canelo doesn't have good stamina, he punches hard but not really not that much harder than Lara i think, and he really doesn't move well enough to avoid angulo. I can almost see canelo trying to move and counter angulo and get beat up in the process.

you can make a case that lara received as much punishment as angulo in the fight and it was not a "facial fracture" or orbital broken bone such as margo suffered in the paq fight

    http://espn.go.com/blog/dan-rafael/post/_/id/4312/perro-angulo-accepts-defeat

it was a soft tissue injury.

you dont know how a fighter recovers from a knockout. some go on to have very successful careers(morrison/mercer,holyfield/bowe,lewis/rahman, ruiz/tua) and some are finished(bowe/golata,vargas/trinidad, jt/pavlik) after just one.

angulo might have one last fight in him and if he can throw 70 punches a round like he did against lara in his upcoming fight against the overrated and average canelo someone would be dumb to lay -250 on canelo.

the angulo that knocked down lara twice(the best 154 fighter in the division) beats canelo and nobody is going to lay some -500 on canelo to find out if that perro still exists.

ffs, its canelo alvarez were talking about here...not james kirkland or gabriel rosado

youll see soon enough when canelo closes on fight night as a -200 to -250, the same as he did against trout.

I respect your opinion but I still think -400 to -500 is an accurate line for this type of fight...though I agree that it may close at around -250ish. There are simply too many variables(promotional and otherwise) pointing towards a Canelo victory.
Not to mention that Angulo has NEVER beaten a top 10 JMW. That is an undeniable fact and facts are what profitable oddsmakers use to set odds...not emotions. This is obviously supposed to be a comeback fight for Alvarez...not some sort of eliminator where both guys have equal value in the promoters eyes. Angulo doesn't have the power to stop Canelo and he has no chance at getting the nod if it goes to a decision.
