You mean it's not easy to publicly embezzle a Saudi royal for 200 million dollars? I, for one, am shocked.

Because every thread in this place is about that above all facts or common sense honestly. And what I'm pointing to is if the fight is that high in demand he has a right to ask for the biggest number being floated around, seeing as he's a much bigger deal than Fury. No one was here upset the whole time these north of 100 million rumors were and still are floating around for Fury, why is that? I'm absolutely not stanning over money I don't get but I'm also not hating on anyone for asking for what is attainable. Benavidez's manager who's been spazzing and crying just as much as David and his daddy just did a complete 180 on his position knowing that is what Canelo asked for. He also said he believes he can get that money. This coming from a guy at the table with the money....also suddenly David has shut up. So has his Dad. That's when the fights get made.

I took it as "this is who you should be asking to fight anyway" lol. And ideas of him fighting the winner between the rematch? He's food in their eyes then. That may not be the ringing endorsement some took it as.

I don't remember Tyson Fury publicly demanding 100 million dollars to fight Usyk. How do you think that would've played out here on ESB?

Ask? Benavidez at least had the humility to respectfully ask the Saudis to make the fight. Canelo did not ask; he pulled a number out of his ass, pissed on the idea of fighting DB some more, then arrogantly demanded his price. That's not how fights get made. LOL.

    And it never has been.

    Please go sit down somewhere.

Not all posters are on that . If that's your focus, the fans and you believeing any negativity towards is hating, maybe you need a breaqk form this stuff.

I mean, FFS.... MANY have said this is the best next fight for Canelo, and it's against his logical #1 contender. You keep focusing on money and hurt feelings though.

Of course it's acceptable. He can ask for whatever he wants. Whether he gets it or not is a different story.

Tell me you're biased without telling me you're biased lol. From Bob Arum just a few months back:
You think that Mr. Excellency would even entertain Bemavidez, he's just a fighter lol. His response to the post said it all. Canelo never addressed him because that's not how that type of business happens.

I'm just debating the opposite side of the ones here that think he can't ask for his amount or that he's somehow forced to do business how they think all of sudden when he never has. If your thoughts are always at odds with the ones who actually are in the position making the decsions, maybe you're not seeing the picture clearly. Not saying you specifically but just angry fans in general. I wasn't really looking forward to a Mungia fight or anyone else besides Benavidez if we're being honest. But I don't get to make those decisions I'm just the consumer that has a choice to buy or not to buy. I do have faith we'll see the fight because Canelo has fought any and everyone for a long time, long enough to not bother me if he takes his time getting to the next one.

This quote does not support your argument. Being "unhappy" with a purse and "thinking" you are going to make more is not the same as demanding a guaranteed figure.

Again, please show me where Tyson Fury has demanded 100 million to fight Usyk.

It sets a precedent for that amount of money and it was being floated the same way Canelo floated weirdly similar numbers. It's almost as if he heard the same thing I did. Again if Fury can expect and get a number like that, why can't Canelo? You haven't given any good reason besides you don't like him.

    Still no quote, huh?

Fury and Usyk were at a negotiation table and discussing percentages of a purse split from a known sum. Canelo was a press conference for another fight, has not negotiated to fight Benavidez, and has no idea how much the Saudis even want to put up for the fight.

It's not a serious offer. Not yet, anyway.

And if Fury had conducted himself in this manner, he'd have gotten nothing from the Saudis. You don't ask for a guarantee up front; you get the table and see what's what, then work out your percentage.

What Canelo did is known as a priceout. The Saudis don't care about making or losing money from a fight. What's money to them? LOL. They want to put on the fights that interest THEM, not the rest of the world. They don't care about Canelo being the biggest draw.

Brits and heavyweights interest them. Usyk's demographic (Ukraine) interests them. Russians interest them. A pair of SMW Mexicans?

    Eh...
