Why do I keep on seeing this rumor that the winners MIGHT face each other? I can understand if Floyd CATCHweather wins. He will request yet another catchweight only to come in at WW limit ala Marquez. In other words, Floyd vs Matthysse/Garcia is doable either at a catchweight of 143 or the full 147. But if Canelo wins, I sure hope GBP doesn't pull the sh.I.t again of moving up a jrww to jrMW to fight Canelo. If Canelo wins, which I doubt, he should face Lara, Smith/Molina winner or move up to MW to fight Quillin (since Quillin is with GBP/Showtime).
^^That catchweather moniker got old about a month ago buddy. Nobody put a gun to Canelo's head to take the fight. P4P kings usually dictate all the terms, get over it. I don't think Lara would stand too good of a chance against Canelo; Angulo gave him all he could handle and I think Alvarez' workrate would be too much for Lara who has looked sluggish as of late. Canelo is a very big JMW and at his age it seems only pragmatic that he'd get ready to move up to MW. He should probably have one tune up fight in the division before he takes on the likes of Kid Chocolate, who I think is a wonderful offensive fighter and I'd call that a 50/50 fight. I don't know how Canelo would fare against Golovkin at this point, GGG has monstrous power for a MW.
The winner of Garcia/Matthysse will fight Floyd at 147 and still outweigh floyd by a few pounds on fight night.
If Floyd wins, then yes he will fight the winner of Lucas Vs Danny . However, if Canelo wins he will not face the winner of Lucas Vs Danny, he will instead fight Floyd again.
