I understand what your saying...but that is exactly my point. Plus, we saw how good Marquez really was at 144, after fighting Pacquiao at the weight. Pacquiao hardly won 4 rounds..Arum's checkbook just made sure Pac "won" even when he really "lost.":good

After Mosley, everone then said that Floyd would never fight a younger fighter either....but he did.:good

Yes he did which is why he is getting Moseley next, then a big ppv event September with Kirkland/cotto/berto-ortiz winner... to boost his resume enough to earn a fight.

Could be...But Floyd said he wanted to fight in September....I like your analysis on it...fair enough.:good

But with Canelo fighting in September and Floyd wanting a fight in November (maybe December), Canelo would not be "next."

Floyd might not fight again until next year. . . By that time, Canelo will have Mosley, and possibly Kirkland under his belt. . .

Hey, I'm hoping and praying for a Sergio fight too, but Sergio doesn't draw like Canelo!

ANd Canelo is a big name. . . I go to this taco stand in my city for lunch a few times a month, and I casually asked the two mexican dudes who run the place if they watched boxing. . They said not really, but sometimes. . . so I asked if they knew about "Mexican boxers", and the first name they dropped was Canelo.

I didn't know he already planned on fighting iN November, or December. . . If that's the case, then yeah, I doubt it's Canelo. . . But if it's december, then that would still be plenty of time. . . ANd probably best as long as Canelo doesn't take too much punishment.

Yeah, I could see him practicing it against Gomez. . That's all he was doing for the first 4 rounds or so, just practicing defense with him.

If Canelo fights in September, I doubt he would be ready to fight Floyd in December.....If he did that, I would have the utmost respect for him. They would have to sign it very very quickly after Canelo fighting in September.

Exactly I don'tthink he fights this year and if he does it won't be canelo IMO that huge event will play out May 2013.

Floyd also knows more than anybody how fickle boxing is. . . And how a boxer can lose anytime, and just like that, go back down on the food chain. . . Canelo is red hot (lol no pun intended), and if he beats Mosley, and then Kirkland (or even if he doesn't fight Kirkland first), then the time to strike would be now, before he risks Canelo losing.

I got Mosley over Canelo...avatar bet?

Note-this would take away from the hotness that Canelo is on too.

    Don't think so.

I think Floyd will fight before the years out, even with jail. Not sure who the opponent will be.

The only way I see Floyd-Canelo is if it's on Cinco De Mayo. This would attract a huge crowd and PPV revenues, which is what Floyd is after.
