I can't disagree here, the question is simply whether BJS or Canelo is the bigger legacy fight, and you say BJS which is a reasonable opinion.

im not a canelo fan myself. i dont hate him and i dont love him. but too be honest. take a look at golovkin. take a look at his career so far. take a look at how hes packaged by k2 and hbo. now look at oscar. do you think oscar is really looking to sacrifice canelo to prop golovkins career/resume up? and im not talking about from a standpoint of "im not sacrificing my cash cow" either...im talking about oscar as a fighter.....you think this guy has any inclination to put his top earner in with a guy like golovkin? especially to put himself in a hurry to do it when canelo is still relatively a "pup"? to please golovkins fans? to make it more fair since golovkin is getting older?....oscar prob doesnt have the respect for golovkin that you all think he should....golovkin hasnt taken the toughest path

Golovkin should fight Saunders first, he should not fall for El Pollo's tricks. El Pollo will pull out of the fight, then fight Saunders for the WBO title, and never fight Golovkin, remember El Pollo gave up his title rather than fight Golovkin.............................

Canelo - GGG is September is a 50-50 fight now, I think Oscar/Canelo/GBP need to make it soon or GGG will get beaten by someone first (Jacobs rematch would be very dangerous, for example), especially if he tries going up in weight. And that would mean the loss of a career-high payday for both parties.

i honestly am not sold on canelo/golovkin doing the kind of numbers some think...i think it will do well and be a nice chunk for canelo...but if canelo can do two, less risky fights, and make the same money wouldnt that be smart? i mean...remember the old "risk vs reward...smart business" stuff golovkin fans claimed when he ducked ward...thats the problem...they make those claims but when it comes to canelo "we just want the best to fight the best....we dont care about who gets what we arent getting any of that money"

Even if Canelo-GGG does only 75% of expectations, I think Canelo would need to do three fights unless Cotto will rematch him. Ducking Golovkin and fighting 3 soft touches will hurt his popularity at least a little. Sure, he could turn into a bum-killer and make plenty of money with no risk, but if he wants to reach May/Pac/ODLH levels of superstardom he needs to beat GGG.

I also think Canelo would gain a lot of non-Mexican fans if he fought GGG, even if he lost there's a rematch in 2018/2019 for him to avenge the loss over an old Golovkin.

"With negotiations ongoing between Glolovkin’s promoter, Tom Loeffler of K2, and Golden Boy Promotions, which represents Alvarez, GGG has chosen to rest after a hard-fought decision victory over Daniel Jacobs in March. "

    :duh :facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

Oscar has just wiped his schlong off on Loeffler's face and is slipping on a fresh pair of fishnets as we speak.

    I'm calling it now:

Team Golovkin just got played like a bunch of five year olds. Wish I was wrong, but watch this space, I'm not.

    Nice one Kiwiman!
It's seems that some has no intention to see the fight at all but just want to stick to one side regardless of any circumstances. Any move from each side will either be defended or criticise.
I enjoy watching both as they are elite talents. My support goes to the side who gives inch to make the fight to fruition.

Of course it's despicable and that is what will happen. Oscar has played them like a bunch of virgins "taking a look" into the backstage of an 80's rock band.

    My only hope now is:

    1) Chavez beats Canelo so badly that El Pollo isn't ready for Saunders and Golovkin has his crack
    2) Canelo challenges Saunders and Saunders does a job on him. BJS is being overlooked here as a factor, I think.
    3) Canelo beats Saunders and has to defend vs Khurtsidze :D I think Avtandil rocks his world.

You see how unfair it is for people to bash Golovkin's resume when all the good names around him minus Ward play tricks like that?

Yea I know. We all see through the ish that Oscar is putting out, so I dont know what Loeffler is doing, I hope he got something written but my feeling is he's getting played by both Oscar and his president Eric Gomez. Oscar says one thing in public, Gomez says the opposite in private.

I'll tell you man, if Loeffler gets played here he should be fired right away. He has a lot of experience in this business so he has no excuse.

I'll laugh my ass off if GBP goes for Saunders after beating Chavez, and I'll laugh even harder if Saunders pulls the upset and destroys the big payday for both sides.

Yep. And that goes for both sides.

The GGG fanboys tend to have absolutely no knowledge of boxing and post the most ridiculous things. They are nothing but trolls.
The shame is that some of the Canelo fanboys could actually be good posters, but are so tied to "their" fighter that they even want him to play despicable tricks.

KiwiMan do you think GGG is really a welterweight masquerading as a middleweight like the other GGG superfans? Or like James5000 do you think he's a big strong 168lber that boils down to 160???

That's your answer mate, he should stop picking on 147 and 154 and challenge the best @ 168. Ffs they will line up 20 men deep to get a crack @ him. All of the champs are licking there lips hopine he comes up!!!!!

I honestly think he's an average sized MW, maybe slightly larger than average, but not a huge MW like you think he is. But I admit that your position has been consistent throughout all the Canelo-GGG debacles, and I really have no problem with any of your posts in this thread.
