I'll defend GGG when ever the Alverites are shitting on him for no reason but please can we be realistic so.... Can people tell me there scorecards for GGG Canelo 2?
I had it a draw when I scored it, but I'd say there were a few rounds where either man could have been given them. I'm a big GGG fan but that's what I got. Can see a close decision either way.
I think I had Canelo winning and I don't even like the guy, I thought he landed the far more damaging punches. but I could see a draw or it going the other way.
I had 115/113 for the Big Red Machine on the night of the fight Was a damn good showing by both but Canelo pulled it out that night on my card
How exactly you can give round 9 and round 10, to Canelo, where clearly GGG was landing way better punches than him ? It wasn`t even close in these rounds. Round 12 was close, but did Canelo land something meaningful ? Definetely not, yet GGG only in this round landed 4-5 uppercut, where 1 of them was monstress and another one that was solid and 2 or 3 more in just this round. Round 3 was not close at all as wel, clearly a Golovkin round and clearly he outlanded Canelo. And how in the blue hell you can give round 4 even, where this one the second most dominant round of Golovkin ? He outlanded Canelo by 8 punches. This is clearly Golovkin land, unless you are Canelo himself. round 1 = 10 - 9 Golovkin clearly round 2 = 19 - 19 Canelo clearly round 3 = 29 - 28 Golovkin clearly round 4 = 39 - 37 Golovkin wide round 5 = 49 - 46 Golovkin clearly round 6 = 58 - 56 Canelo wide round 7 = 68 - 66 very close round, Canelo start well, mid round Golovkin jab him hard, and finish it very strong and i score it even, but could go in Golovkin favor, has to be bias to give it to Canelo tho round 8 = 77 - 76 another close round, simillar to previous and could go even again, if you have to give it to someone its Canelo. round 9 = 87 - 85 Golovkin clearly round 10 = 97 - 94 Golovkin by huge margin, he simply smashed Canelo and there was a big right hand from Golovkin where Alvarez was stunned and ready to go and from this round on, he started backing and was laying on the ropes round 11 = 107 - 103 Golovkin wide GGG come in dominant fashion and land some big shoots in there round 12 = 117 - 113 close round, but to me Golovkin landed the hardest shot, both landed some in the exchange, but the shots wasn`t clear and they was not crisp, except Golovkin uppercuts, he landed 5 uppercuts in this rounds, where 2 was really heavy ones so if i have to give the round to one of them has to be for Golovkin, because of the hardest shot in that round. But every close round i score it even, except the 8, where i give it to Canelo, and this one i will score even. So i have it 7 rounds for Golovkin and 3 rounds for Canelo and i have 3 very close rounds, where i score 2 of them even and 1 of them for Canelo. Punches and judges score: This content is protected Once again all the reputable media that scored the fight and they 18, 10 scored for Golovkin, 10 scored the fight a draw, and only 1 scored the fight for Canelo. Even Teddy Atlas scores both fight for Golovkin and he surely are not fan of his. Jonny Nelson also scored the fight for Golovkin. HBO Lederman score the fight 8 rounds to 4 for Golovkin as well. And he is damn good at scoring the fights. There was a poll who won the fight for both fights. For the first one it was like 91% for GGG, for the second fight was like 75% in favor of GGG. As much as i like Canelo and like his counter attacking style he lost both fight. Close or not close he lose both fights. And they wasn`t so hard for scoring. Teddy Atlas said it completely right - just follow where the money flows.
Just telling you my Card. GGG was looking hesitant in there, he lost in my view. Canelo was both out slugging him and boxing him. Also the card on the right is how I gave the rounds. The one on the left is the total. I gave rounds four and eleven to GGG. Whenever Canelo wasn't brawling with GGG he was out manouvering him and just outboxing him. GGG imo turned into a gun shy bloke without his signature body punches, if he used them more and more efficiently he'd probably have KOed Canelo. But he was basically a jabbing machine. I scored for Canelo, lots of close rounds and some didn't. That was the intention of the thread
