Executives at the MGM Grand have offered GGG a bonus payment from increased ticket prices at the T-Mobile Arena.

Tickets for the first and then cancelled rematch were priced at $5,000, $2,500, $2,000, $1,500, $800, $700, $500 and $300.

So much for doing it for the fans :b2:

So the only way GGG would sign the fight is if ticket prices would be increased so he would make even more $$?

What a Greedy Diva demand. GBP already increased GGG's split significantly, but then GGG still wouldn't agree to it unless the fans had to pay more $$ to see the fight?

Do we know if GGG also demanded an increase to the cost of the PPV? if the cost for ordering the rematch is higher, now we know which fighter caused that.

So if GBP saw this as the only way Golovkin could get, closer to but still less than, what he actually deserves, Golovkin is the greedy one?

**** off, double faced excuse of a boxing fan.

I said this all along,GGG has a history of fighting wherever he can and taking whatever to make fights.
Lol so to give GGG his 42% they increase ticket prices and it’s somehow Golovkins fault, wow just wow,Canelo fan boys fall for every single trick of Oscars and lap it up.

    did golovkin ask for this?

or did the hotel wanting this fight and all the revenue put this out there on their own

remember Canelo testing positive hurt their revenue in may

    Hahaha

They always try to put the blame on Golovkin, didnt you see, the rematch was canceled because of Golovkin, he dared to ask for an investigation after Canelo failed the tests

Now Golovkin increases the prices on tickets, ppv, plain fares, oil and tabacco lol
He is more powerfull than the POTUS and I actually 100% believe GGG rigged the elections :crazylick:

nice try spinning GGG demanding more $$ as GBP being Greedy lol. The split for the first fight and for the May 5th rematch, that both sides agreed to was something like 30 / 70 or 35 / 65. GGG got his split increased to where GBP offered him 42.5 / 57.5, but that still wasn't enough?

That's a split increase resulting in something like 5 or 10 million more dollars for GGG. GBP agreed to give him a much better split than they had already agreed upon. What a fighter deserves $$ wise is mainly based on drawing power. The fact is the two sides had come to an agreement, GGG then demanded more, and GBP met him half way to what he wanted, and still that wasn't enough. For GGG's demands to result in higher ticket prices, that's something that affects the fans, unlike the split which has no affect on the $$$ in fans pockets. As a fan I could care less what the split is because it doesn't affect me, but if a fighter's demands result in ticket prices going up or the PPV fee going up that's affecting the fans economically. I mean many people refused to order Floyd McGregor due to the $100 price tag, the arena didn't even sell out becuase of how jacked up the ticket prices were.

Golovkin's diva demands resulting in higher ticket prices needs to be criticized. GGG doesn't get a pass just because his fans will defend whatever he does. He's being greedy. It's one thing trying to max your income as far as trying to get a better split, it's another to take more $$ out of the fans pockets. I shouldn't have to pay more $$ to watch or attend the rematch than I did the first time. And whichever fighter is responsible for that (Golovkin in this case) deserves to be criticized for it.

did GGG demand the hike or was this golden boys way of getting to 50 50 without getting to 50 50

also don't forget the hotel wants this fight for all the people who will stay and pay for the event

the venue lost out in may and Canelo vs anyone else wouldn't do what this fight will do. the hotel made a push to land this fight I don't think golovkin was twisting their arm

HE held out and this is how it got done
