How does the PPV model work? Surely the proceeds are not shared among the fighters alone. How much do the networks keep and how much do the fighters share?

Some sources reported “over 1 mil” some reported “nearly 1 mil” . So I guess it was 1 mil.

so then neither is Canelo. This fights decision was already
decided all Clenelo had to do was last the distance & he'd get a split dec win

Canelo is a much bigger draw and it's not even debatable but I suppose you're only going to cry that this not true.

Anyone that paid $100 to watch a fight hat was decided months ago is either VERY NAIVE or a raving loon. You keep buying the farces they'll keep fixing the decisions
Oscar Bennett & Vegas never made one penny out of me neither did Floyd.

The rematch was poorly promoted because Canelo was too scared to face Golovkin. That's Canelo to blame.

    Canelo-Chavez 1M
    Canelo Cotto 900K

Compare to these numbers it doesn’t worth it to fight with GGG

Now he can do 6-700K easily against Lemieux

GGG doesn’t have that kind of fanbase who would spend 60-80 dollar for a fight.
    GGG Lemieux 140K
    GGG Jacobs 160K

It’s obvious that the 80% of the PPV buyers are the Mexicans. Americans doesn’t spend on PPV since they got f&cked with the May-PAC. “Fight of the century”

Khabib-Conor will sell at least 2.5M. God bless UFC, no corrupt judges and “A side B side requests” and other sh!t things.

Name me one fighter who fought Mayweather in Vegas & got a fair straight down the middle fight ?? You cannot because there isn't one. Now Clenelo is the cash calf he gets the same EVERY advantage both legal & illegal goes their way. The corruption is BLATANT because there is no one supervising the State Commissions.

Wait for the Wilder v Fury numbers. They won't be pretty.

Seems Canelo's "huge" fanbase don't give a slightest F who he faces, he could face bums or the best fighters, he pulls the same numbers.

Yeah, I don't like MMA as a sport itself but as far as being fan friendly, boxing is light years away.

Conner v Khabib will do huge numbers but that's on Connor.

UFC PPV Buys have not been very high without Connor. They haven't built multiple box office PPV stars.

    UFC 220 - 350K
    UFC 221 - 130K
    UFC 222 - 200K
    UFC 223 - 280K~

    Compared to 2017:
    UFC 208 - 200K
    UFC 209 - 250K
    UFC 210 - 300K
    UFC 211 - 300K

As you can see ufc is not some PPV goldmine
