Canelo-GGG II, Does it happen in 2018?

2021 after Golovkin retires this year. GBP will lure him out of retirement when he is washed and needs to cut 40 pounds to make MW. Canelo wins 120-108 on every card even though it's competitive.

 

No Golovkin is not shot enough and the robbery draw will be enough for now until they know his a walking punch bag abit like charvez thats the golovkin they are waiting for

 

No GGG fanboys, Canelo's not avoiding a rematch against the guy who hardly touched him in the ring and who he won at least five rounds against. It's the biggest fight in boxing, it's too big not to happen this year. If it doesn't happen in May it'll happen in September. Oscar not rushing to make it should only mean he wants to maximise it as an event.

I think may. They clearly wanted to duck and go for the winner of Saunders lemieux but Saunders looked too good.

Within 2 days of that fight Oscar said they were focusing on the rematch. I'm sure they would like to make golovkin wait and wait some more but that date in May is a big one for Mexicans and boxing.

 

This post just about covered it all.

They were hoping for Lemieux to win (hell, so was I) but instead Saunders put on a boxing clinic and Canelo's bunghole sucked up into itself at the prospect of facing the vastly improved Saunders 2.0 for a much smaller payday than GGG.

So, alas, he's going to do Golovkin ii in May just as soon as Oscar gets the receipts from the judges and the compromising footage of their shennanigans on the vacation that he paid for them. Rumour has it that there is a tape of Aunt Addy and a goat in Oscar's sock drawer, but, it could just be a rumour.

 

Course it happens.

Outside of the HW division its by far the biggest fight to be made and given how competitive the last one was, both will fancy their chances in a rematch.

 

It is Canelo we are talking about. So that means he is probably going to frustrate and disappoint his haters. It probably happens in 2018. Perhaps they each take an interim fight, and barring failure in that, the rematch should be up next after that in the fall.

 

Yes it happens this year for sure, probably May.

If Canelo and GGG fought another top fighter in May instead (e.g. Saunders and Charlo/Derevyanchenko) one or both could easily lose and ruin the big money rematch. Too risky.

 

Happens in may. Too much money to be made from it for it too get delayed

 

I hope it happens sooner rather than later.

 

As a fan, Canelo is the worst thing to happen to GGG. Ever since the Canelo fight(s), GGG now fights 2 times a year. Which sucks

I'm sure GGG could care less as he is making 15 million per fight with Canelo. Thats 30 million in two fights, life changing money.
